However, due to the structure of the recycling industry, EPR cannot increase recycling rates up to the target levels. Additional policy instruments to increase recycling rates such as recycled content targets, green dot fees bonus for recycled content, recycling targets and taxes on non-recycled plastic packaging have been discussed on a political level in the last years.

Controversy Over Tongue-Tie: Divisions in the Community of Healthcare Professionals.

While recent decades have seen a rapid rise in cases of infant tongue-tie and in surgery to correct it, a controversy is now raging over the condition. Opinion is especially divided over so-called posterior tongue-tie, a variant which is detected based on the "feel" of the sub-lingual space. Drawing on ethnographic research with clinicians in England, we clarify the professional and personal commitments involved in the controversy.

Development and Validation of a Multi-Locus PCR-HRM Method for Species Identification in Genus with Food Authenticity Purposes.

DNA-based methods using informative markers such as single nucleotide polymorphism (SNPs) are suitable for reliable species identification (SI) needed to enforce compliance with seafood labelling regulations (EU No.1379/2013). We developed a panel of 10 highly informative SNPs to be genotyped by PCR-High resolution melting (HRM) for SI in the genus through in silico and in vitro stages.

Dentinal Tubule Penetration and Adaptation of Bio-C Sealer and AH-Plus: A Comparative SEM Evaluation.

Objective: The aim of this study was to compare and evaluate the dentinal tubule penetration and adaptation of a premixed bioceramic sealer and an epoxy-resin based sealer in the three radicular thirds.

This article analyzes the links between the conception of the body and of sexuality found in Freud and Merleau-Ponty. The French philosopher refers to Freud in various of his works, and performs a reading of Freud through which he rescues the meaning that the latter gives to sexuality as he integrates it into the totality of the person, without making it into a blind or merely instinctive force. As a consequence of this integration, the notions of the unconscious and of instinct or drive are interpreted in the light of the meaning or signification that they have in the person's behavior.

Anemia in Children Aged Four to Eight from a Semirural Community in Central East Area of Argentina.

We present the results of the first stage of the Program for the Control of Intestinal Parasitosis and Nutrition, analyzing the frequency of anemia and its relation with intestinal parasitic infections and socio-cultural and environmental factors present in school children from a semirural community of Argentina. A total of 123 children aged 4-8 years were interviewed; 93 (75.6%) of them showed up for blood extraction and a fecal sample was taken properly.

Nuclear localization of MUC1 extracellular domain in breast, head and neck, and colon cancer.

Background: The glycoprotein MUC1 is overexpressed and underglycosylated in cancer cells. MUC1 is translated as a single polypeptide that undergoes autocleavage into 2 subunits (the extracellular domain and the cytoplasmic tail), and forms a stable heterodimer at the apical membrane of normal epithelial cells. The MUC1 cytoplasmic tail localizes to the cytoplasm of transformed cells and is targeted to the nucleus.

The objective of the present work was to study functional and thermal properties of reineta (Brama australis) frozen meat, analysed by water retention capacity (WRC), gel forming capacity (GFC), texture, emulsifying capacity and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). For this study, reineta fillets were obtained and extracted by the same conditions, and cutted, packaged, frozen and stored at -18 degrees C and -30 degrees C for 7 months. The results obtained, showed that there were no signifficant differences in the responses to thermal treatment for all the specimens.

Arthroscopic management of traumatic anterior shoulder instability in collision athletes: analysis of 204 cases with a 4- to 9-year follow-up and results with the suture anchor technique.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of arthroscopy in the selection of surgical procedure and treatment of both acute and recurrent traumatic anterior shoulder instability in rugby players by use of pre-established selection criteria. We describe the injury mechanisms, analyze the pathologic lesions and treatment indications based on surgical findings, and assess the results in patients treated with the arthroscopic suture anchor technique.

Methods: From November 1996 to November 2001, 204 rugby players with acute or recurrent traumatic anterior instability underwent an initial arthroscopic examination.

Arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament distal graft rupture: a method of salvage.

We describe a rare case of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) distal graft rupture in a high-demand rugby player. Fifteen months before this episode, he underwent an ACL reconstruction (autologous patellar tendon graft surgery) plus posterolateral reconstruction with direct suture and fascia lata augmentation. Radiographs revealed correct positioning of tunnels and fixation screws.

[Effect of thermal treatment on the available lysine content of mora crab (Homalaspis plana) meat].

The effect of different high temperatures treatments on the available lysine content of mora crab meat, was studied. Fresh pincer meat from mora crab (from the V region) was extracted and kept in ice until the thermal process of the canned product. A 3(2) statistical design was applied, considering the following variables temperature (80 degrees C, 100 degrees C and 121 degrees C) and time (15, 30 and 45 minutes).

Arthroscopic repair of acute traumatic anterior shoulder dislocation in young athletes.

Purpose: To compare the results of arthroscopic repair in acute anterior shoulder traumatic dislocation with those of nonoperative treatment.

Type Of Study: A prospective nonrandomized study was performed.

Methods: Between August 1989 and April 1997, 46 patients were seen after a first episode of traumatic anterior shoulder dislocation.
