Highly dispersed LaCoCuTiO/KIT-6 perovskites were synthesized by the citrate method with inert mesoporous KIT-6 addition. The KIT-6 matrix was removed by dissolution in 7% NaOH aqueous solution. The dispersity of perovskites probably varies depending on the largest cation and its content at the B position of the perovskite ABO3 structure.

Real-time functional magnetic resonance imaging (rt-fMRI) neurofeedback was found to reduce depressive symptoms. However, no direct comparison of drug-free patients with an active psychotherapy control group is available. The present study compared rt-fMRI neurofeedback with cognitive behavioral therapy, as the standard treatment in patients declining anti-depressants.

Clonorchiasis is a parasitic disease caused by Clonorchis sinensis. Parasite colonies can develop not only in the bile and pancreatic ducts but also in the gastric wall. This is confirmed by the described clinical case of perforated gastric ulcer, the morphological study of which revealed parasite colonies in the wall of the organ.

The study was aimed at elucidating the relationship between the severity of atherosclerotic lesions in carotid arteries and cardiac pathology in 182 elderly patients subjected to vascular and extravascular surgical treatment. They were divided into 2 groups differing in the degree of atherosclerosis. Group 1 was comprised of 93 patients (mean age 64+/-05 yr) without stenosis of internal carotid artery or with stenosis of less than - 50%, group 2 included 89 patients (mean age 67+/-0.

The species composition and antibiotic susceptibility of microflora isolated from patients with cicatricial tracheostenosis (CTS) and infectious processes were investigated. Schemes for the treatment of CTS with an account of the pathogen species and multidrug resistant staphylococcal infection are described. Comparative efficacy of the combined schemes (antibiotic + bacteriophage) for the therapy of pyoinflammatory processes in the patients with CTS and the efficacy of the treatment of the patients with CTS according to the traditional antibacterial schemes were studied.

The immune status was analyzed in 28 patients with cicatricial stenosis of the trachea for the purpose of determining the type and nature of affection as well as for the purpose of evaluating the clinical efficiency of galavit immunomodulator. Combined impairments were diagnosed in the patients. Moderately decreased CD4+, CD8+, CD16+, significantly decreased CD25+, HLA-DR, CD71+ and increased CD4+/CD8+ were detected at the cell level.

An integrated medical genetic an population genetic study has been performed in two raions (administrative districts) of the Tver oblast (region) of Russia: the Udomlya raion located in the zone affected by the Kalininskaya Nuclear Power Plant and the Ostashkov raion, which served as a control district. No significant differences has been found with respect to the genetic parameters studied. The values of these parameters in the populations of the town of Udomlya, the town of Ostashkov, the Udomlya raion, and the Ostashkov raion, respectively, are the following: random inbreeding, 0.

The respiratory system was studied in 221 patients with chronic pyelonephritis (CP), satisfactory renal function and varying arterial pressure (AP) using tests of systemic hemodynamics, echocardiography, zonal rheography of the lungs and rheospirography. Ventilation-perfusion correlations were also taken into account. It is shown that the respiratory system, along with circulatory organs, is involved in the pathological process at early stages of pyelonephritic inflammation.

The condition of the respiratory system in essential hypertension was studied with the tests of general hemodynamics, echocardiography, zonal rheography of the lungs and rheospirography with estimation of ventilation-perfusion relations. Hypertension was found to affect not only cardiovascular but also respiratory system. Hypertension-related respiratory disorders present as vascular dysfunction in the lungs, restrictive defects of pulmonary ventilation, imbalance between the ventilatory reserve and reserve of the pulmonary and systemic blood flow with progression of arterial hypertension.

The content of medium molecular weight (MMW) substances in the blood and urine was studied in patients with chronic dermatoses (psoriasis and atopic dermatitis). Intoxication was detected in all these patients, which was confirmed by clinical symptoms and a high level of plasma MMW substances, indicating pronounced catabolic processes in this condition. The distribution of MMW substances in biological media and the absence of positive changes after treatment in patients with atopic dermatitis in comparison with psoriasis patients may be indicative of different mechanisms of biochemical homeostasis and different adaptation potential, which should be taken into consideration when prescribing correction.

Ufibrate (150 mg daily) was found to have a beneficial effect on main parameters characterizing lipid metabolism, with no effect being exerted on carbohydrate metabolism, as evidenced by three months' follow-up of 24 patients aged 42 to 65 presenting with insulin-nondependent type II diabetes mellitus and hyperlipidemia. Ufibrate appeared to be a most efficacious long-term drug treatment option, particularly so in those patients presenting with initially high blood levels of a great many of lipid fractions.

The investigation of providing with vitamins of river transport workers in Western and Eastern Siberia and of oil men in the Tyumen Region conducted in the summer period of 1984-1986 has revealed significant deficiencies of vitamins C, E, B1, B2, B6, A and carotene in them. Vitamin administration to the workers with "Undevitum" resulted in a significant improvement of their vitamin status that was expressed in elevation of their biochemical parameters and in diminution of the percentage of subjects with vitamin deficiencies.
