Interstitial lung disease (ILD) has been identified as a prevalent complication and significant contributor to mortality in individuals with pemphigus. In this study, a murine model of pemphigus was developed through the subcutaneous administration of serum IgG obtained from pemphigus patients, allowing for an investigation into the association between pemphigus and ILD. The microalgae-based wastewater treatment technologies are believed to contribute to carbon neutrality. This study investigated the inorganic carbon fixation performance in the algal-bacterial aerobic granular sludge (A-BAGS) process under cultivation at different concentrations of organic carbon (OC) and inorganic carbon (IC). The results indicated that A-BAGS in treating wastewater containing organics of 77 mg-C/L contributed little to the fixation of inorganic carbon, while the highest inorganic carbon removal efficiency of 50 % was achieved at the influent IC of 100 mg/L and OC of 7 mg/L.

Psoriasis and parapsoriasis en plaques are chronic inflammatory skin diseases, both representing therapeutic challenge in daily practice and adversely affecting the quality of life. Reactive oxygen species (ROS) has been evidenced to be involved in the pathogenesis of the chronic inflammatory diseases. Barriers presented by the tumor microenvironment including the abnormal tumor vasculature and interstitial matrix invariably lead to heterogeneous distribution of nanotherapeutics. Inspired by the close association between cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) and tumor-associated angiogenesis, as well as tumor matrix formation, we proposed that tumor microenvironment normalization by COX-2 inhibitors might improve the distribution and efficacy of nanotherapeutics for solid tumors. The present study represents the first time that celecoxib, a special COX-2 inhibitor widely used in clinics, was explored to normalize the tumor microenvironment and to improve tumor nanotherapeutics delivery using a human-derived A549 tumor xenograft as the solid tumor model.
