The aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) plays a crucial role in regulating many physiological processes. Activating the AhR-CYP1A1 axis has emerged as a novel therapeutic strategy against various inflammatory diseases. Here, a practical cell-based fluorometric assay was constructed to screen AhR-CYP1A1 axis modulators, functional sensing of CYP1A1 activities in live cells.

The causal relationship between the gut microbiota and endometrial cancer: a mendelian randomization study.

Background: Gut microbiota is associated with endometrial cancer (EC); however, the causal relationship remains unexplored. This study attempted to explore the relationship between gut microbiota and EC using Mendelian randomization (MR) methods.

Methods: In this two-sample MR analysis, we used MiBioGen's gut microbiota data as the exposure and three datasets from European populations with EC as the outcome.

In this study, spatial and single-cell transcriptome techniques were used to investigate the role of beta-galactoside alpha-2,6-sialyltransferase 1 (ST6GAL1) in promoting peritoneal metastasis in ovarian cancer epithelial cells. We collected single-cell transcriptomic (GSE130000) and spatial transcriptomic datasets (GSE211956) from the Gene Expression Omnibus and RNA-sequencing data from The Cancer Genome Atlas. The Robust Cell Type Decomposition (RCTD) approach was implemented to integrate spatial and single-cell transcriptomic data.

Identification of candidate genes for endometrial cancer in multi-omics: a Mendelian randomization analysis.

Endometrial cancer is the most common malignant tumor of the uterus, but the underlying genetic mechanisms of EC remain unclear. To identify candidate genes and investigate genetic mechanisms for endometrial cancer, we utilized the summary-data-based Mendelian randomization (SMR) method to investigate causal associations between genetic variants, gene expression, DNA methylation, and endometrial cancer. Three main analyses were conducted utilizing cis-expression and methylation quantitative trait loci (eQTLs and mQTLs) as instrumental variables to examine causal relationships with endometrial cancer, and assessing the causal relationship between DNA methylation and gene expression.

A Case of Non-calcified Intrahepatic Primary Osteosarcoma: A Case Report and a Literature Review.

Introduction: Intrahepatic primary osteosarcoma is a rare disease with a very low incidence but a very poor prognosis. A total of 12 cases have been previously reported, and in most of these cases, intra-focal calcification was observed. Treatment of posterior interosseous nerve entrapment syndrome with ultrasound-guided hydrodissection: A case report.

Background: Posterior interosseous nerve (PIN) entrapment syndrome is one of the causes of weakness and pain of the arm muscles, which is prone to missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis in clinic practice. This paper reports a case of PIN entrapment syndrome, with PIN injury indicated by electrophysiology. Musculoskeletal ultrasound was applied to identify that the entrapment point was located at the inlet of the Frohse arch and the outlet of the supinator muscle.

Differences between CEUS LI-RADS and CECT LI-RADS in the diagnosis of focal liver lesions in patients at risk for HCC.

Objectives: To compare the inter-modality consistency and diagnostic performances of the contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) Liver Imaging Reporting and Data System (LI-RADS) and contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CECT) LI-RADS in patients at risk for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), so as to help clinicians to select a more appropriate modality to follow the focal liver lesions (FLLs).

Methods: This retrospective study included untreated 277 FLLs from 247 patients who underwent both CEUS and CECT within 1 month. The ultrasound contrast medium used was SonoVue.

Methods: Relevant studies were systematically searched in PubMed, Embase, The Cochrane Library, and Web of science. The literature on DLs for cervical cancer CT image segmentation were included, a meta-analysis was performed on the dice similarity coefficient (DSC) of the segmentation results of the included DLs models.
