Background: Cosmetic breast surgeries such as augmentation, mastopexy, and reduction are common aesthetic medical procedures for enhancing physical appearance. Despite their popularity, the influence of these surgeries on subsequent breast reconstruction for cancer patients remains underexplored.
Objectives: In this study we sought to investigate the effects of previous cosmetic breast surgeries on the outcomes of breast reconstruction.
Background: Breast cancer-related lymphedema (BCRL) is a cyclical, progressive disease that begins at the time of axillary dissection and worsens in the setting of adjuvant oncologic therapies. The paradigm of lymphedema management in these patients is shifting from therapeutic surgeries and decongestive therapy to preventative surgery with immediate lymphatic reconstruction (ILR).
Methods: After institutional review board approval, a prospective database was maintained of all patients undergoing ILR.
Introduction: T1a/b, node-negative (node-), triple-negative breast cancers (TNBCs) are underrepresented in randomized drug-approving clinical trials. Given their low incidence, the clinicopathological features, natural history, and treatment patterns of these tumors remain insufficiently understood.
Methods: We conducted a single-institution retrospective cohort study of patients with T1a/b, N0, M0 TNBCs.

This poses a significant reconstructive challenge as many high-risk patients require timely postmastectomy adjuvant therapy.
