Introduction: Neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) is the standard of care for patients undergoing radical cystectomy (RC) for muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC); however, NAC can be associated with significant side effects and morbidity in some patients. Urothelial carcinoma in a crossed fused renal ectopia (CFRE) is an exceedingly rare clinical finding. We describe the surgical management used to treat upper tract urothelial carcinoma in a 64-year-old man with a right-to-left CFRE. Nephroureterectomy with bladder cuff excision was the treatment of choice.

Introduction: Evidence for noninvasive management of Peyronie's disease contains many options with varying levels of evidence for each. Many first-line treatments recommended by urologists lack strong evidence for their use.

Aim: We summarize the noninvasive (oral medications, topical medications, traction, vacuum erection devices, extracorporeal shock wave therapy, intracavernosal injections and electromotive therapy) treatment options for Peyronie's disease and provide the levels of evidence for each.

Introduction: As greater numbers of small renal masses (SRMs) are discovered incidentally, renal tumor biopsy (RTB) is an increasingly recognized step for the management of these lesions, ideally for the prevention of surgical overtreatment for benign disease. While the diagnosis can often be obtained preoperatively by RTB, indeterminate results create greater difficulty for patients and clinicians. This study examines a series of RTBs, identifying the portion of these that were able to yield a diagnosis, and correlates patient factors, including RENAL and PADUA scoring, with the outcome of a non-diagnostic result.

Impregnated activated carbons (IAC) are widely used materials for the removal of toxic gases in personal respiratory protection applications. The combinatorial method has been employed to prepare IACs containing different types of metal oxides in various proportions and evaluate their adsorption performance for low molecular weight gases, such as SO(2) and NH(3), under dry conditions. Among the metal oxides used for the study, Mn(3)O(4) was found to have the highest capacity for retaining SO(2) gas under dry conditions.
