Echinococcus ortleppi is the genotype G5 of Echinococcus granulosus sensu lato and is a zoonotic canine tapeworm of which larvae causes cystic diseases in domestic animals and also humans. While this species is highly endemic and widely spread in domestic animals, human infection is extremely rare and only sporadic, and thus, entire picture of human cystic echinococcosis due to infection with E. ortleppi is unclear.

Its name comes from the hair-like strands surrounding the cytoplasm of the cells, which are observed on peripheral blood or bone marrow smears. Leukemic cells mainly involve the spleen, peripheral blood, and bone marrow.

A panel of CD38 and CD138/CD19/CD45/CD56/CD117 markers is considered the immunophenotypic diagnosis of plasma cell myeloma. Expression of the CD38 marker may fade or weaken compared with the CD138 marker in plasma cells after chemotherapy treatment.

This is characterized by peripheral blood and bone marrow (BM) lymphocytic infiltration with clonal large granular lymphocytes (LGLs). The neoplastic cells of this disease display a mature T-cell immunophenotype, with the majority of cases showing a CD4-/CD8+ T-cell, T-cell receptor (TCR) subset immunophenotype versus other permutations of those markers.

However, viral and bacterial epidemic diseases cause severe damages to shrimp farming, resulting in millions of US dollars losses annually [2]. Furthermore, inappropriate use of antibiotics in shrimp rearing lead to increased emergence of drug resistant pathogens [3].

With the aim of mining novel lignocellulolytic enzymes, a ~9 Gb metagenome of bacteria in Vietnamese native goats' rumen was sequenced by Illumina platform. From the data, 821 ORFs encoding carbohydrate esterases (CEs) and polysaccharide lyases (PLs) serving for lignocellulose pre-treatment, 816 ORFs encoding 11 glycoside hydrolase families (GHs) of cellulases, and 2252 ORFs encoding 22 GHs of hemicellulases, were mined.

Objectives: The aim of this large cross-sectional survey is to assess the use of coping methods employed by patients with asthma and to explore the ability of general practitioners (GPs) to correctly identify these strategies.
Methods: A modified Coping Orientations to Problem Experienced Questionnaire was completed by patients with asthma and their physicians.

A coupled high performance liquid chromatography-hydride generation-atomic absorption spectroscopy system was used to determine the speciation of arsenic in samples from the Nha Trang Harbor, Vietnam. Concentrations of arsenic in seawater, pore water, suspended solid, and sediment were 4.12-9.

Based on information on daily discharge (Q) and suspended particulate matter (SPM) concentration between 1960-2008 for the SonTay gauging station (outlet of the River and entry to the Delta) provided by the National Institute IMHE-MONRE, the mean annual SPM flux was estimated at 90 Mt/yr, corresponding to a sediment yield of 600 t/km(2)/yr. The temporal variability of annual SPM fluxes (ranging from 24 to 200 Mt/yr) is strongly related to the interannual hydrological conditions.
