Spring viremia of carp virus (SVCV) has a broad fish host spectrum and is responsible for a disease that generally affects juvenile fishes with a mortality rate of up to 90%. In the absence of treatments or vaccines against SVCV, the search for prophylactic or therapeutic solutions is thus relevant, particularly to identify solutions compatible with mass vaccination. In addition to being a threat to aquaculture and ecosystems, SVCV is a unique pathogen to study virus-host interactions in the zebrafish model.

We aimed to investigate the efficiency of CNS targets and tolerance of second-line combined anti-PD1/dual-targeted anti-BRAF/anti-MEK therapy implemented in patients with CNS progression after initially efficient first-line combined targeted therapy in patients with BRAF-mutated melanoma in a real-life setting. A monocentric retrospective analysis including all such patients treated from January 2017 to January 2022 was conducted in our tertiary referral center.

Combination immune checkpoint therapy carried on despite grade 4 immune-related hepatotoxicity during treatment of metastatic melanoma: Case report and review of literature.

We report the case of a 63-year-old patient with recurrence of acral malignant melanoma after adjuvant immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) treatment by PEMBROLIZUMAB complicated with immune-related grade II hepatitis. Rechallenge by combination immune checkpoint (NIVOLUMAB + IPILIMUMAB) led to a relapse of the immune-related hepatitis up to a grade 3. Combination ICI therapy was carried on after introduction of corticosteroid therapy.

Background: Delirium is well-recognized in adult inpatient care. However, it is often overlooked in children, being mistaken for pain, anxiety, or age-appropriate agitation.

Methods: To assess the impact of a formal teaching session on the diagnostic rates and management of pediatric delirium (PD) in a tertiary care center, we conducted a retrospective chart review of all hospitalized children diagnosed with PD between August 2003 and August 2018 at the CHU Sainte-Justine (Montreal, Canada).

The outbreaks of viral hemorrhagic septicemia (VHS) and viral encephalopathy and retinopathy (VER) caused by the enveloped novirhabdovirus VHSV, and the non-enveloped betanodavirus nervous necrosis virus (NNV), respectively, represent two of the main viral infectious threats for aquaculture worldwide. Non-segmented negative-strand RNA viruses such as VHSV are subject to a transcription gradient dictated by the order of the genes in their genomes. With the goal of developing a bivalent vaccine against VHSV and NNV infection, the genome of VHSV has been engineered to modify the gene order and to introduce an expression cassette encoding the major protective antigen domain of NNV capsid protein.

Iatrogenic symptomatic hypoadrenocorticism after treatment with trilostane for hyperadrenocorticism in dogs: eight cases (2008-2019).

Objectives: Trilostane is the medical treatment of choice for hyperadrenocorticism. Iatrogenic hypoadrenocorticism is thought to be rare, with most cases being transient and only a few cases of permanent hypoadrenocorticism have been reported. This study reports findings from eight cases of iatrogenic hypoadrenocorticism and examines the presence of concurrent diseases at the time of diagnosis.

Magnesium (Mg) intake is an important indication of an individual's Mg status, but no validated food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) to assess intake currently exists. The purpose of this study was to develop and investigate the validity of a semi-quantitative Mg food frequency questionnaire (MgFFQ) against a 14-day food diary to assess average daily Mg intakes. In this cross-sectional study, 135 adults aged 18 to 75 completed the 33-item MgFFQ and a 14-day food diary to assess their Mg intakes.

A 15-year-old neutered female domestic shorthair cat was presented for weight loss, polydipsia/polyuria, and lethargy. A large fluctuant mass was palpated in the ventral right cervical region. Biochemistry results were consistent with primary hyperparathyroidism.
