This study examined how COVID-19 curfews impacted physical activity in heart failure patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs).
Data from 82 patients showed a significant 27.1% decrease in physical activity during lockdown, dropping from an average of 2.4 to 1.8 hours per day.
The findings emphasize the need to be aware of the potential health risks for heart failure patients due to reduced physical activity during lockdown situations.
