This multicenter retrospective study evaluated the diagnostic performance of a deep learning (DL)-based application for detecting, classifying, and highlighting suspected aortic dissections (ADs) on chest and thoraco-abdominal CT angiography (CTA) scans. CTA scans from over 200 U.S.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFTargeting intracellular inhibiting proteins has been revealed to be a promising strategy to improve CD8 T cell anti-tumor efficacy. Here, we are focusing on intracellular inhibiting proteins specific to TCR signaling: DOK1 and DOK2 expressed in T cells. We hypothesized that depletion of intracellular inhibition checkpoint DOK1 and DOK2 could improve CD8 T-cell based cancer therapies.

Lead-free relaxor ferroelectric ceramics with outstanding energy-storage (ES) density () and high ES efficiency () are crucial for advanced pulse-power capacitors. This study introduces a strategic approach to maximizing the polarization difference (Δ) by inducing a transition from the ferroelectric phase to the ergodic relaxor (ER) phase. By employing this strategy, a series of ceramics, (1 - )(BiNaK)TiO-(SrLa)(ZrTi)O (BNKT-SLZT), with varying SLZT content ( = 0.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFImmunotherapy strategies aim to mobilize immune defenses against tumor cells by targeting mainly T cells. Co-inhibitory receptors or immune checkpoints (ICPs) (such as PD-1 and CTLA4) can limit T cell receptor (TCR) signal propagation in T cells. Antibody-based blocking of immune checkpoints (immune checkpoint inhibitors, ICIs) enable escape from ICP inhibition of TCR signaling.

These dose-limiting toxicities demonstrate the need to highlight the mechanisms of anti-CD47-SIRPα therapy effects on non-tumor CD47-bearing cells. Given the increased incidence of lymphopenia in patients receiving anti-CD47 antibodies and the strong ADCC (antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity) effector function of polymorphonuclear cells (), we investigated the behavior of primary PMNs cocultured with primary T cells in the presence of anti-CD47 mAbs.

However, they display multiple defects in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients leading to reduced anti-tumor potential. Our limited understanding of the mechanisms underlying these defects hampers the development of strategies to restore NK cell potential.

LA causes multidirectional influence on glutathione system of healthy mice. EAC transforms LA influence, strengthening prooxidative effects more expressed at introduction in early terms after inoculation of the tumor.

Metastatic spreading into the lymph nodes along the left-side gastric artery was observed in 56.6%, in the hepatoduodenal ligament--25.

Preoperative radiotherapy was not followed by increase in postoperative complication rate as compared to surgery alone. Combined treatment appeared to assure higher three- and five-year survival.
