A rare case of Lutembacher's syndrome presenting with low-gradient severe mitral stenosis: case report and literature overview.

Background: Lutembacher's syndrome refers to the rare combination of atrial septal defect and mitral stenosis. This condition is still underdiagnosed despite its distinct clinical, paraclinical, and therapeutic implications.

Case Summary: We report the case of a 60-year-old woman presenting with acute congestive heart failure.

Coronary Artery Ectasia: Case Reports and Literature Review.

Coronary artery ectasia (CAE) is a rare condition, affecting 3%-8% of patients with atherosclerotic coronary artery disease, and is characterized by the abnormal dilatation of the coronary arteries. While the etiology of coronary artery ectasia encompasses a myriad of acquired and genetic factors, its pathogenesis still remains a subject of investigation. The clinical manifestations are varied, ranging from asymptomatic cases to chest angina and myocardial infarction.

Systemic sclerosis and tachycardia-bradycardia syndrome: a case report.

Background: Systemic sclerosis is a multisystemic character autoimmune disease. It is characterized by vascular dysfunction and progressive fibrosis affecting mainly the skin but also different internal organs. All heart structures are commonly affected, including the pericardium, myocardium, and conduction system.

Essential thrombocythemia and aortic dissection,causal or incidental association?

Only few cases of vascular dissection and essential thrombocythemia association have been reported. To the best of our knowledge, we reported the second case of aortic dissection and essential thrombocythemia association in a 60-year-old man with positive JAK2V617F mutation who had no history of hypertension or connective tissue disorders. Through this case, we discussed the eventual existence of a causal relationship between the two conditions.
