[Diet as a factor in the formation of health and working capacity of students].

We have studied 152 students of the Dental faculty. With most of them the caloric content of their daily ration was lower than the energy spent, their body weight was also reduced. The ration of most students had a lowered protein and fat content with prevalence of carbohydrates.

[Ultrastructural changes in cells of the antral gastric mucosa in patients with duodenal ulcers treated with melatonin].

Aim: To study ultrastructural condition of the cels in antral gastric mucosa in patients with duodenal ulcer on melatonin treatment.

Material And Methods: Electron microscopy was made of biopsy specimens of antral stomach mucosa obtained from 14 patients with duodenal ulcer (DU) in exacerbation and in clinicoendoscopic remission after therapy with proton pump blockers (group 1) and after this therapy combined mth melatonin (group 2).

Results: In patients of group 2 there was an increased number of differentiated cover and principal cells, moderately differentiated parietal cells predominated.

[The level of secretory immunoglobulin A in the saliva and the body resistance of medical workers in the dental field].

Examinations of a group of dentists revealed that work at dentistry rooms involving a close contact of personnel with numerous allergens is conducive to decreasing the level of secretory IgA in the saliva. This indicates deterioration of the immune defense system of the body, particularly grave in nurses, orthodontists, and dental technologists.

Bilateral tubal pregnancy with vaginal delivery.

A 26-year-old woman was admitted with a diagnosis of septic incomplete abortion. Subsequently she was discovered to have bilateral tubal ectopic pregnancies. The right tube was not badly damaged.
