Objective: To explore the phenotypic characteristics of paternal chromosomal simplex 3q microduplication syndrome.
Methods: Amniotic fluid samples of 3 fetuses from a same couple were subjected to prenatal diagnosis through combined high-resolution chromosomal G-banding karyotyping and chromosomal microarray analysis (CMA). Peripheral blood samples were also collected the couple for the determination of parental origin.
Background: The mosaic forms and clinical phenotypes of fetuses with isochromosome Y are difficult to predict. Therefore, we summarized the cases of nine fetuses with isochromosome Y identified in prenatal diagnosis with a combination of molecular cytogenetic techniques, providing clinical evidence for prenatal genetic counseling.
Methods: The prenatal diagnosis and pregnancy outcomes of nine fetuses with isochromosome Y were obtained by a retrospective analysis.
Background: We presented two cases of mosaic trisomy 2 with high risk of maternal serum screening and non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT). The invasive amniocentesis was performed and genetic tests including karyotype, single nucleotide polymorphism array(SNP-array), interphase fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) were employed to detect the chromosomal abnormality.
Results: Cytogentic analysis of the case 1 and 2 showed a mosaic karyotype consisting of two cell lines (mos 47,XY,+2[8]/46,XY[19] and mos 47,XX,+2[7]/46,XX[28], respectively).
Background: Pallister-Killian syndrome (PKS) (OMIM:#601803) is a rare sporadic genetic disorder characterized by multi-malformations which is caused by the presence of the extra isochromosome 12p. PKS is featured by the tissue-limited mosaicism of the isochromosome 12p [i(12p)]. There were a wide spectrum of prenatal ultrasound findings of PKS, which made it difficult to be found in first or second trimester.

Objective: To use combined comparative genome hybridization (array-CGH) and conventional karyotype analysis to study the relationship between ultrasonographic abnormalities of fetuses and chromosomal aberrations.
Methods: One hundred twenty two fetuses with ultrasonographic abnormalities in middle and late trimesters suspected with chromosomal abnormalities were collected between March 2012 and February 2013.
Results: The pregnant women had an average age of 31 yr (22-38), among whom 35 were above the age of 35.
