Parkinson's disease (PD) emerges as a notable health concern among the elderly population. Safinamide mesylate (SAF) is a novel and emerging add-on therapy in PD treatment. The stability of innovative drug formulations and the development of appropriate stability-indicating methods are of great importance to modern pharmaceutical analysis.

A novel, highly sensitive and eco-friendly micellar-mediated spectrofluorimetric method was developed and validated for the determination of the novel antiparkinsonian drug safinamide mesylate in the presence of its related precursor impurity, 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde. The proposed approach relies on increasing the inherent fluorescence emission at 296 nm of safinamide, by forming hydrogen bonds between the mentioned drug and sodium dodecyl sulfate in the micellar system using 0.1 N HCl as a solvent, following excitation at 226 nm.

The electropolymerized molecularly imprinted polymers (MIP) have enabled the utilization of various functional monomers with superior selective recognition of the target analyte template. Methyldopa is an attractive synthetic dopamine analogue which has phenolic, carboxylic, and aminic functional groups. In this research, methyldopa was exploited to fabricate selective MIPs, for the detection of sofosbuvir (SFB), by a simple electropolymerization step onto a disposable pencil graphite electrode (PGE) substrate.

Two specific, sensitive, and precise stability-indicating chromatographic methods were developed, optimized, and validated for the determination of Azintamide (AZ) in the presence of its degradation product. The first method was TLC combined with the densitometric determination of the separated bands. Separation was achieved using silica gel 60 F254 TLC plates and chloroform-acetone-glacial acetic acid (7.

A simple, accurate, precise, and sensitive kinetic spectrophotometric method for determination of befunolol hydrochloride is described. The method is based on the formation of a colored product with 4-chloro-7-nitro-2,1,3-benzoxadiazole (NBD-Cl) in methanol at 70 degrees C for 45 min. The red-colored product was measured at 523 nm.

Two methods are suggested for determination of panthenol. The first is colorimetric method where panthenol is subjected to alkaline hydrolysis; the resulting beta-alanol is allowed to react with vanillin (Duquenois reagent) in presence of McIlvain buffer pH 7.5.
