Introduction: Ankle arthrodesis is a crucial surgical intervention for advanced hindfoot conditions, aiming to restore plantigrade walking and alleviate pain. This study evaluates the effectiveness of a specific surgical approach for tibiotalocalcaneal arthrodesis (TTCA), focusing on rigorous risk factor control, corticocancellous grafting, and internal fixation using an angled retrograde femoral nail in the sagittal plane, and assesses the outcomes of this approach in terms of bone fusion and reduction of postoperative complications.

Materials And Methods: This retrospective analysis includes 17 patients who underwent TTCA in a trauma-orthopedic department over seven years.

Introduction: Periprosthetic humeral fractures are a rare and increasing entity due to the rising number of shoulder arthroplasties. These fractures pose a significant challenge for surgeons, with incidence rates ranging from 1.2% to 19.

Background: Giant cell tumours are common primary long bone tumours with femoral neck locations infrequent and notorious for pathological fractures. Treatment with simple curettage often results in local recurrence. Aggressive treatment that combines tumour resection with cement filling and internal fixation aims at preserving native joint function.

Fracture of the talar body is rare, it reaches articular congruence and determines the ankle's functional prognosis. The authors report a case of a combination of a sagittal talar body fracture with fracture of the medial malleolus in a 52-year-old following a road traffic accident. The association talus body fracture with a medial malleolus fracture is exceptional.

Background: Hemangiomas are benign tumors usually found in the lower extremity yet their surgical management on the location in the foot is rarely documented.

Case Presentation: We report a case of a plantar intramuscular hemangioma in 25-year-old patient with a history of percutaneous therapy. Patient had undergone intralesional sclerotherapy 3 years prior to his admission with persistent pain on weight bearing activities.

The association of shoulder dislocation with fracture of the ipsilateral humeral diaphysis is a rare injury. We report two cases of anterior shoulder dislocation associated with concomitant ipsilateral humeral fracture. Reduction of shoulder dislocation followed by screw-plate fixation of the fracture of the humeral diaphysis was performed in both cases.

We conducted a retrospective study of bifocal closed fractures of the tibia in order to assess the severity of this unusual lesion. We analyzed the entry point for intramedullary nailing as well as the different therapeutic options. Sixteen patients with AO type 42C2 bifocal leg fractures were treated in our Traumatology-Orthopedics Unit A at the University Hospital Hassan II, Fez.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the results of percutaneous screw fixation of scaphoid waist fractures in our surgery unit by comparing them with recent data from the literature. This was a retrospective, descriptive study conducted between January 2010 and September 2016. Patients operated due to a recent scaphoid fracture and treated by percutaneous anterograde screw fixation with a Herbert screw were included in this study.

We treated a patient with a rare combination of ipsilateral fractures of the distal and proximal ends of the radius. A man aged 42 years had simultaneous fractures of the distal and proximal ends of the radius (radial neck) following a roadside accident. The distal end fracture of the radius was treated with surgical reduction and T-plate volar fixation, and the undisplaced radial neck fracture was treated by an above elbow splintage for 2 weeks.

Classic Kaposi sarcoma is a multifocal rare tumor originating from vascular endothelial cells with progressive evolution and little malignant predisposition. Although Kaposi sarcoma with extensive visceral involvement is sometimes observed among HIV-positive patients, tumor dissemination to visceral lymph nodes in classic SK remains very rare. We report a rare case of aggressive classic Kaposi sarcoma of the hand with a rapid and destructive development.

Failure of internal fixation of intertrochanteric fracture is associated with delayed union or malunion resulting in persistent pain and diminished function. We report a rare case of implant failure of the gamma nail with intertrochanteric fracture non union treated by DCS plate screw and bone graft.

We report a case of juxtaosseous ossified lipoma. Clinical and radiological features make it an exceptional case, because of its location at the hand and presence of cortical erosion of the subjacent bone. However, the histological study of this rare benign tumor showed neither cytonuclear atypia nor increasing number of mitosis.

Isolated palmar dislocation of the fifth carpometacarpal joint is an uncommon injury and classified as radio-palmar or ulno-palmar according to the direction of displacement of the fifth metacarpal base. This very rare injury is often difficult to recognize. A careful neurologic assessment of the patient is a necessity, as well as obtaining proper radiographs of the hand.

Metacarpal tuberculosis is a rare presentation of the disease; it represents only 1% of all bone sites. The following report documents the case of a 28-year-old female who sought a consultation for a painful right hand following an injury. Radiographs showed a fracture of the distal fifth metacarpal through a lytic lesion.

In view of the comparative frequency of posterior dislocations of the elbow, it is rather remarkable that anterior dislocations of that joint should be among the rarest of injuries [1]. Our case is one of the first cases of anterior dislocation of the elbow without any periarticular fracture or pre-existing deformities around the elbow [2].
