Several different types of lethal short-limbed skeletal dysplasia with platyspondylia have been recognized with a different mode of inheritance. Schneckenbecken dysplasia, a very rare lethal osteochondrodysplasia, is included in these entities, with an autosomal recessive mode of inheritance.
