Objectives: Stroke and transient ischemic attack (TIA) are common disorders treated by Canadian emergency physicians. The diagnosis and management of these conditions is time-sensitive and complex, requiring that emergency physicians have adequate training. Is early discharge safe after naloxone reversal of presumed opioid overdose?

Introduction: Patients with suspected opioid overdose frequently require naloxone treatment. Despite recommendations to observe such patients for 4 to 24 hours after naloxone, earlier discharge is becoming more common. This prospective, observational study of patients with presumed opioid overdose examines the safety of early disposition decisions and the accuracy of outcome prediction by physicians 1 hour after the administration of naloxone.

Complications associated with excess cement around crowns on osseointegrated implants: a clinical report.

The potential advantages and disadvantages of cement-retained implant crowns are reviewed, with a focus on complications related to residual excess cement. A series of 4 case reports illustrates the symptoms and treatment modalities associated with excess cement around implant crowns, and suggestions are offered for the prevention of such problems.

Healing of periodontal flaps following use of MBR 4197 (flucrylate) in rhesus monkeys. A clinical and histological evaluation.

Experimental periodontal surgery was performed on six adult Rhesus monkeys, using the modified Widman flap technique. Each monkey provided four or six segments for flap surgery, and three different experimental time intervals were used. Flaps were immobilized after surgery by conventional sutures or by application of MBR 4197 cyanoacrylate spray.
