Lumboperitoneal shunt may be indicated as a treatment for idiopathic intracranial hypertension aiming to facilitate the dynamic flow of cerebrospinal fluid into the peritoneum for patients. Parturients with lumboperitoneal shunt are a few, making it difficult to choose the analgesic or anesthetic technique for delivery. We present the case of a successful spinal anesthesia for a cesarean delivery in a parturient who was diagnosed with idiopathic intracranial hypertension that was treated by lumboperitoneal shunt.

Therefore, we conducted a long-term follow-up study to delineate the outcome of ligation in patients with portal hypertension in the Hassan II university hospital, Fes, Morocco.
Methods: Over 118 months patients treated by endoscopic variceal ligation were received regular follow- up and detailed clinical assessment of at least 24 months.
Acute esophageal necrosis, commonly referred to as "black esophagus" or "acute necrotizing esophagitis", is a rare clinical disorder with an unclear etiology. The definition excludes patients with a history of recent caustic ingestion. Oesophageal necrosis can be diagnosed at endoscopy by the presence of black necroting appearing oesophagus.

In Morocco, there are no data regarding the efficacy of this technique. Our aim was to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of endoscopic variceal ligation in the management of oesophageal variceal bleeding in cirrhosis in a located population in Morocco.

Introduction: In developed countries, reinfection after successful eradication of Helicobacter pylori appears unusual. High prevalences of H. pylori in developing countries may result in high reinfection rates.

Methods: Consecutive H. pylori-positive patients with endoscopy-proven ulcer or non ulcer dyspepsia were prospectively randomized in the trial into one of three groups: AM and AC group were administered a tri-therapy for 7 days including PPI + amoxicillin + metronidazole (AM group)/clarithromycin (AC group) and SQ group was administered a sequential regimen consisting of PPI + amoxicillin for 5 days followed by PPI + clarithromycin + metronidazole for the remaining 5 days.
Introduction: The combination of polyethylene glycol (PEG)ylated interferon (pegylated interferon) and ribavirin has been shown to be an effective treatment for chronic hepatitis C virus. In general, common side effects related to this combination therapy are mild and are well tolerated. However, peripheral neuropathy including demyelinating polyneuropathy related to PEG-interferon α2a (pegylated interferon alfa-2a) is extremely rare.

We reported on a rare case of pseudoachalasia secondary to metastatic breast carcinoma mimicking radiation stenosis. A 65-year-old woman was admitted to our department complaining of progressive dysphagia to solids and liquids. Her medical history revealed a surgery for left breast tumour, which had been performed 11 years, previously, with adjuvant treatment based on hormonal therapy and radiotherapy.

Hepatotoxicity is a relatively uncommon side effect of amiodarone and symptomatic hepatic dysfunction occurs in less than 1% to 3% of patients taking amiodarone. We report here on an unusual case of amiodarone-induced hepatotoxicity.

Patients And Methods: Over a period of 9 years from January 2001, 235 patients with cirrhosis and 3 or less HCC≤5 cm of diameter were treated by radiofrequency ablation. Among them, 52 patients older than 75 years were selected for this study.
Congenital bronchobiliary fistulas (CBBF) are rare developmental anomalies. We report a case of a 6-day-old newborn who presented with respiratory distress and bilioptysis, originally involving a meconium aspiration syndrome. The diagnosis was confirmed by bronchoscopy.

The sagittal split ramus osteotomy is probably the most frequently used procedure for correction of mandibular skeletal dento-facial deformities. In the 30 years since the procedure was introduced, a number of complications has been reported: unfavorable fracture during surgery, paresthesia or anesthesia and relapse. The literature seems to be very poor concerning the esthetical and morphological complications of the sagittal split ramus osteotomy; especially when treating Class II dento-facial deformity frequently associated with a genioplasty.

Material And Methods: From January 1994 to December 1995, 29 children suffered from nosocomial infections due to multiresistant bacteria.
Results: Bacteria were isolated in blood cultures and/or in cerebrospinal fluid and included Klebsiella (14 cases), Enterobacter (eight cases), Pseudomonas (three cases), Acinetobacter (one case), Stenotrophomonas maltophilia (one case) and Flavobacterium odorantum (one case).
