Three cases of hepatobiliary actinomycosis are reported. In all cases, carcinoma was initially suspected. One patient underwent cytoaspiration under sonographic guidance.

The authors describe two cases of non parasitic cyst of the spleen of "enteroid" origin on histological examination. No similar cases have yet seen described in the medical literature that we consulted. The histology of these two cases is quite unusual in that cysts are multilocular and mucoid with a cylindrical mucus secreting epithelium similar to cystic tumours of the ovary.

The literature is reviewed and 2 new cases of paraganglioma of the urinary bladder, 1 malignant and 1 benign, are presented. One patient had no classic symptoms of vesical paraganglioma, and diagnosis was made postoperatively by means of light and electron microscopy. Differentiation between malignant and benign endocrine tumor cannot be made histopathologically and biochemically.

The authors report their experience of a histo-enzymatic method, using Naphtol AS-D Chloroacetate as a substrate, for the specific demonstration of elements of the granulocyte series, in histological sections, after formol fixation and mounting in paraffin wax. This simple and reliable staining technique offers the possibility of very rapid diagnostic orientation in haematological conditions.
