Botulinum Toxin-A in the Treatment of Excessive Gingival Display: A Clinical Study.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to elucidate the efficiency of BTX-A injections as an alternative approach in patients with excessive gingival display and to observe the patient's satisfaction in order to obtain cosmetically promising results.

Materials And Methods: Fifteen patients of whom ten female and five male with different types of gummy smiles such as anterior (53%), posterior (7%) and mixed (40%) reported to the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Thai Moogambigai Dental College and Hospital, Chennai, Tamil Nadu from December 2018 to October 2019 those who were willing to undergo corrections using Botulinum Toxin Type A (BTX-A) were selected for the present study using various inclusion and exclusion criteria. The patients were injected with BTX-A on Yonsei triangle accordingly.

Mural Variant of Unicystic Ameloblastoma in a Pediatric Patient: A Rare Case Report.

Unicystic ameloblastoma (UA) differs from conventional ameloblastoma by presenting in the younger population with a lower recurrence rate and has a unilocular appearance on radiograph mimicking dentigerous cysts. Among the three variants of UA, the mural variant has a tendency to recur. Here we present a case of mural variant of UA in a pediatric patient treated conservatively with enucleation followed by application of Carnoy's solution to the cystic cavity.

Trabecular Variant Juvenile Ossifying Fibroma of the Maxilla.

Juvenile ossifying fibroma (JOF) is a benign, bone-forming neoplasm occurring primarily in children and adolescents. JOF is an aggressive variant of ossifying fibroma of the jaw with a variable clinical behavior and a high tendency for recurrence. Early detection and prompt treatment are required to treat JOF successfully.
