To assess the cost-effectiveness of low-dose aspirin compared to placebo for the prevention of recurrent preterm birth from a healthcare perspective. This was a cost-effectiveness analysis alongside a multicenter, randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled trial. We included women with a singleton pregnancy and a previous spontaneous preterm birth <37 weeks of gestation of a singleton.

High acceptability of point-of-care HIV testing at the colposcopy outpatient clinic in hospitals in the Netherlands.

Objective: Cervical cancer and its precursor are labeled as HIV indicator conditions, justifying the recommendation of HIV testing for all patients. This study aimed to assess the acceptance and patients' and gynecologists' perceptions on HIV testing in patients with cervical dysplasia at the colposcopy outpatient clinic in hospitals in the Netherlands.

Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted between May 2021 and February 2023 to implement point-of-care HIV testing in five hospitals in the Rotterdam region, the Netherlands.

Air-breathing in fish is believed to have arisen as an adaptation to aquatic hypoxia. Although air-breathing has been widely studied in numerous fish species, little is known about the obligate air-breathing African bonytongue, Heterotis niloticus. We evaluated if abiotic factors and physical activity affect air-breathing patterns in fingerlings.

Women's participation in physical activities has been discouraged for a variety of reasons, especially in Muslim countries. This study aims to highlight Pakistani women's religious beliefs about sports. It focuses on whether their religion contradicts their participation in sporting activities, and it does so by using an adapted version of the Santa Clara Strength of Religious Faith Questionnaire (SCSRFQ) in the theoretical context of feminism in sports.

Background: Restrictions around childbirth, introduced during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, could decrease maternal feelings of control during birth. The aim of this study was to compare the sense of control of women who gave birth during the COVID-19 pandemic with women who gave birth before COVID-19. The secondary objective was to identify other factors independently associated with women's sense of control during birth.

The effect of monomeric and oligomeric FLAVAnols in patients with type 2 diabetes and microalbuminuria (FLAVA-trial): A double-blind randomized controlled trial.

Increased Household Income Improves Nutrient Consumption in Pakistan: A Cross-Sectional Study.

The provision of high-quality food is a primary factor in ensuring adequate nourishment and preventing malnourishment-related diseases in Pakistan. This study, therefore, aimed to quantify the impact of income on nutrient consumption in Pakistan, with the hypothesis that income has a primary role in reducing malnourishment in the developing world. To do this, we estimated nutrient-income elasticity-defined as the proportion of change in nutrient consumption in response to a change in income-for total calories, macronutrients, and micronutrients, using the nationally representative Household Integrated Economic Survey data (2010-2011) for Pakistan.

Performance, Health, and Psychological Challenges Faced by Students of Physical Education in Online Learning during COVID-19 Epidemic: A Qualitative Study in China.

The spread of COVID-19 has led students to take classes online (rather than face-to-face) worldwide, including in China. For this study, we conducted qualitative focus group discussions to identify the experience of and difficulties faced by online physical education students in higher education taking online classes, including the impact on their physical activity performance, as well as some health problems they face while taking online classes during the quarantine period, such as weight gain, depression, and anxiety. Finally, utilizing Mayer's learning model as a conceptual framework, we propose a method that addresses how to effectively manage an optimal future learning system for physical education students, both during and after the COVID-19 outbreak situation.
