We examined the tamoxifen-predictive value and prognostic effects of different GEX signatures in premenopausal women with early breast cancer.
Methods: RNA from formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tumor tissue from premenopausal women randomized between two years of tamoxifen treatment and no systemic treatment was extracted and successfully subjected to GEX profiling (n = 437, NanoString Breast Cancer 360™ panel).
Purpose: Patients with persistent or recurrent papillary and poorly differentiated thyroid cancer can be effectively treated with radioiodine, if the tumour tissue is iodine-avid. However, iodine-avidity status is often unknown at the time of initial radioiodine treatment, limiting any adaptive approach. Patients And Methods: Since 2016, the national Swedish TP53 Study (SWEP53) has offered surveillance with WB-MRI to all individuals with hTP53rc syndrome. Seventy-five individuals have been included in the study.
The COVID-19 pandemic posed an unprecedented challenge to modern bioethical frameworks in the clinical setting. Now, as the pandemic stabilises and we learn to 'live with COVID', the medical community has a duty to evaluate its response to the challenge, and reassess our ethical reasoning, considering how we practise in the future. This article considers a number of clinical and bioethical challenges encountered by the author team and colleagues during the most severe waves of the pandemic.

Objectives: This systematic review investigates reticulocyte hemoglobin's capabilities in screening iron deficiency and iron-deficiency anemia with and without comorbidities.
Methods: Participant background and laboratory characteristics were extracted from 14 unique studies between 2015 and 2022. Hemoglobin, reticulocyte hemoglobin, and mean cell volume (MCV) values were used in a meta-analysis for iron-deficiency anemia with no secondary conditions.
