Background: We evaluated the prevalence, distribution, and specialist to population ratio of male and female reconstruction and andrology/prosthetics faculty within United States urologic training programs. Our objective was to help determine the current need/demand for reconstructive fellowship trained faculty for necessary clinical exposure during residency in the midst of a nationwide residency expansion.

Objectives: The Accompong Town Maroons are descendants of enslaved Africans who successfully waged war against British colonial rule and established an independent community in western Jamaica. There are discrepancies regarding Accompong Town Maroon ancestry with some scholars noting ancestry from both Africans and Taínos, Jamaica's indigenous population, while other scholars only acknowledge African ancestry. We considered the mitochondrial lineages of contemporary Accompong Town Maroons to address the question of ancestral origins.

Inheritance of resistance to rust was investigated in the self progeny of the sugarcane cultivar 'R570' also used to build a RFLP genetic map. Resistance was evaluated through both field and controlled greenhouse trials. A clear-cut 3 (resistant) ∶ 1 (susceptible) segregation indicative of a probable dominant resistant gene was observed.
