Carbon (C), nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) contents and ecological stoichiometry and their correlations of litter and soil along 1500-1900 m on Wugong Mountain meadow were studied. The results showed that litter C, N and P contents varied in the range of 397.5-458.

Hypermonins A and B, two 6-norpolyprenylated acylphloroglucinols with unprecedented skeletons from Hypericum monogynum.

Two new 6-norpolycyclic polyprenylated acylphloroglucinols (PPAPs), hypermonins A (1) and B (2), featuring an undescribed decahydroindeno[1,7-bc]furan ring system, were isolated from the leaves and twigs of Hypericum monogynum. These compounds are a pair of epimers with opposite configurations at the C-5 position. Their structures, including their absolute configurations, were determined by extensive spectroscopic analysis and electronic circular dichroism (ECD) calculations.

Background And Objectives: Herpes simplex virus (HSV) and human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) are widespread infections in humans, yet their impact on adverse pregnancy outcomes is controversial. The objective of this study was to evaluate the impact of HSV and HCMV infections during pregnancy on adverse pregnancy outcomes.

Methods: A systematic literature search was performed using Web of Science, Scopus, Medline, Embase, PubMed, and the Cochrane Library database for relevant publications up to 2nd August 2017.

Cycle oxidation behavior and anti-oxidation mechanism of hot-dipped aluminum coating on TiBw/Ti6Al4V composites with network microstructure.

Controlled and compacted TiAl coating was successfully fabricated on the network structured TiBw/Ti6Al4V composites by hot-dipping aluminum and subsequent interdiffusion treatment. The network structure of the composites was inherited to the TiAl coating, which effectively reduces the thermal stress and avoids the cracks appeared in the coating. Moreover, TiB reinforcements could pin the TiAl coating which can effectively improve the bonding strength between the coating and composite substrate.

[Feasibility and efficacy of transcatheter closure of anastomotic leakage after aortic surgery using Amplatzer Vascular Plug Ⅲ].

To investigate the feasibility and efficacy of transcatheter closure of anastomotic leakage after aortic surgery using Amplatzer Vascular Plug Ⅲ (AVP Ⅲ). A retrospective analysis was performed in 5 patients with anastomotic leakage after aortic surgery, who underwent transcatheter closure in our hospital from January to June 2017 using AVP Ⅲ. Surgeries were performed in 3 cases of Standford type A dissection, 1 case of ascending aortic aneurysm and 1 case of persistent truncus.

Methods: A total of 104 postnatal day 13 Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into 4 groups: control group (treated by 7.5 mL/kg saline and sham surgery), propofol group (treated by 75 mg/kg propofol), surgery group (with abdominal surgery under local anesthesia) and propofol+surgery group (with abdominal surgery under local anesthesia plus 75 mg/kg propofol anesthesia).

Study on titanium-magnesium composites with bicontinuous structure fabricated by powder metallurgy and ultrasonic infiltration.

Titanium-magnesium (Ti-Mg) composites with bicontinuous structure have been successfully fabricated by powder metallurgy and ultrasonic infiltration for biomaterial potential. In the composites, Ti phase is distributed continuously by sintering necks, while Mg phase is also continuous, distributing at the interconnected pores surrounding the Ti phase. The results showed that the fabricated Ti-Mg composites exhibited low modulus and high strength, which are very suitable for load bearing biomedical materials.

Methods: From March to May in 2016, we conducted a cross-sectional survey among 830 community residents aged ≥60 years from Jinzhou,China.GLFS-25 (25-question Geriatric Locomotive Function Scale), FES-I(International edition of Falls Efficacy Scale),and SF-12 (12-item Short Form Health Survey) were used to estimate locomotive function, falls efficacy and quality of life, respectively.

Objective: Recent evidence suggests an important role of Myosin 1b (Myo1b) in the progression of several cancers, including prostate cancer and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). However, the contribution of Myo1b to cervical cancer (CC) remains elusive.

Methods: Quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR), immunohistochemistry and western blotting assays were used to confirm the expression of Myo1b in CC tissues compared with matched non-tumor tissues and CC cells, and analyze its clinical significance.

[Application and analysis of abdominal aortic branch malperfusion pattern in thoracic endovascular aortic repair for Stanford B aortic dissection].

Objective: To evaluate the efficiency of thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) in dealing with abdominal aortic branch malperfusion based on the analysis of aortic computed tomography angiography (CTA) images in pre- and post-TEVAR.

Methods: Retrospective analysis from September 2015 to March 2016 in single institution to 32 patients, diagnosed as Stanford B aortic dissection with abdominal aortic branch malperfusion, CTA images in pre- and post-TEVAR were collected. Based on the aortic branch malperfusion pattern redefined by Nagamine, we identified and characterized branch malperfusion pattern for four abdominal aortic branches (celiac trunk, superior mesenteric artery, bilateral renal artery) in statistical analysis.

Objectives: Nasal-type extranodal natural killer NK/T-cell lymphoma (ENKTCL) is a distinct type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma with poor prognosis. This research aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the GELOXD or P-GEMOXD regimens in patients with ENKTCL.

Methods: Newly diagnosed ENKTCL patients treated with either the GELOXD or the P-GEMOXD regimen were identified from three cancer centers between January 2010 and December 2016.

The erythropoietin receptor (EpoR) is widely expressed but its renoprotective action is unexplored. To examine the role of EpoR in vivo in the kidney, we induced acute kidney injury (AKI) by ischemia-reperfusion in mice with different EpoR bioactivities in the kidney. EpoR bioactivity was reduced by knockin of wild-type human EpoR, which is hypofunctional relative to murine EpoR, and a renal tubule-specific EpoR knockout.

Psychometric Assessment of the Depressive Cognition Scale Among Older Chinese People.

The study aimed to translate the Depressive Cognition Scale (DCS) into Chinese and to test its reliability and validity among Chinese older people. Using a cross-sectional design, a demographic questionnaire and Chinese versions of the Depressive Cognition Scale (DCS-CHI) and the Center for Epidemiological Studies-Depression Scale (CES-D) were administered. The sample consisted of 1673 older people who were from communities and hospitals.

Dynamic Change of Transcription Pausing through Modulating NELF Protein Stability Regulates Granulocytic Differentiation.

The NELF complex is a metazoan-specific factor essential for establishing transcription pausing. Although NELF has been implicated in cell fate regulation, the cellular regulation of NELF and its intrinsic role in specific lineage differentiation remains largely unknown. Using mammalian hematopoietic differentiation as a model system, here we identified a dynamic change of NELF-mediated transcription pausing as a novel mechanism regulating hematopoietic differentiation.

Aberrant IgG glycosylation is a feature of hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection but its effect on a long-term efficacy of antiviral therapy has never been addressed. After a screening of 1,085 patients, 132 eligible HBV e antigen (HBeAg)-positive and 101 HBeAg-negative patients with anti-HBV nucleos(t)ide analogue monotherapy were enrolled with on-treatment follow-ups for at least one year. IgG1 N-glycome was profiled using mass spectrometry and evaluated for its relevance in treatment responses.

Cytokine Receptor Endocytosis: New Kinase Activity-Dependent and -Independent Roles of PI3K.

Type I and II cytokine receptors are cell surface sensors that bind cytokines in the extracellular environment and initiate intracellular signaling to control processes such as hematopoiesis, immune function, and cellular growth and development. One key mechanism that regulates signaling from cytokine receptors is through receptor endocytosis. In this mini-review, we describe recent advances in endocytic regulations of cytokine receptors, focusing on new paradigms by which PI3K controls receptor endocytosis through both kinase activity-dependent and -independent mechanisms.

C-steroidal pregnane sapogenins and their derivatives as anti-inflammatory agents.

During the screening of natural anti-inflammatory agent, we identified some C-steroidal pregnane sapogenins or the derivatives to inhibit TLR2, TLR3, and TLR4-initiatedinflammatory responses respectively. Treatment with active compounds 10, 2j and 3p failed to impact tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) induced nucleus translocation of NF-κB p65 subunit. However, these compounds regulated distinct canonical or non-canonical NF-κB family members.

Endovascular repair of residual intimal tear or distal new entry after frozen elephant trunk for type A aortic dissection.

Background: In patients with type A dissection, residual dissection and new distal entry tears following the frozen elephant trunk (FET) procedure adversely affect long-term prognosis. Management include open and endovascular repair, while clinical experience is limited. We evaluate the efficacy of thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) in management of residual intimal tear or distal new entry tear following FET in patients with type A aortic dissection (TAAD).

Comparison of 10- and 20-min hepatobiliary phase images on Gd-EOB-DTPA-enhanced MRI T1 mapping for liver function assessment in clinic.

Purpose: To compare hepatobiliary phase (HBP) images obtained 10 and 20 min after Gd-EOB-DTPA-enhanced MRI for liver function assessment in clinic on 3.0 T MR imaging.

Methods: 103 patients were separated into four groups: 38 patients for the normal liver function (NLF) group, 33 patients for the liver cirrhosis with Child-Pugh A (LCA) group, 21 patients for the liver cirrhosis with Child-Pugh B group, and 11 patients for a liver cirrhosis with Child-Pugh C group.

[The regulation of MAPK signaling pathway on cell proliferation and apoptosis in hypoxic PASMCs of rats].

Objective: To explore the relationship between hypoxic pulmonary arterial smooth muscle cells(PASMCs)proliferation, apop-tosis and mitogen-activated protein kinases(MAPK) signal pathway in rats.

Methods: PASMCs were obtained from male SD rats by the enzyme digestion method and primarily cultured; PASMCs were identified through two methods:immunofluorescence staining and light microscopy; the 4~6th generation PASMCs of logarithmic growth state of good growth period were selected, and randomly divided into 7 groups:normoxic con-trol group (N), hypoxia group (H), DMSO group (D), extracellular signal-regulated kinase1/2(ERK1/2) inhibitor-U0126 group (U) and p38MAPK inhibitor-SB203580 group (S), the p38MAPK activator-Anisomycin group (A), the ERK1/2 activator-Staurosporine Aglycone group (SA). When all the models were completed, the all groups joined the CCK-8 to measure cell proliferation; cell apoptosis of each group was detected by TUNEL kit after the modeling.
