is one of the largest species of penaeid shrimp. It has a wide distribution of germplasm resources in the South China Sea and the southeastern coastal regions of China, yet its germplasm characteristics remain insufficiently understood. Therefore, we conducted analyses of basic nutritional components, amino acids, fatty acids, antioxidant indices, and genetic diversity in three populations (FmRP, FmSZ, FmSY).

A total of 240 healthy Taihang chickens, aged 180 days, were randomly divided into eight groups of 30 birds each. The first seven groups were administered oxytetracycline, chlortetracycline, erythromycin, tylosin, tylvalosin, lincomycin, and tiamulin, respectively, in accordance with the maximum dosages and longest durations of treatment recommended by the Veterinary Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China.

However, the impact of YFPs on intestinal inflammation and microflora composition in pigs infected with typhimurium remains unclear. To investigate this, a total of 18 weaned pigs were divided into three treatment groups: a non-challenged control group (Con), a group challenged with typhimurium (ST), and a group challenged with typhimurium and supplemented with 0.

This study investigates the prevalence, genetic characteristics, and evolutionary trends of DuCV in Korea between 2013 and 2022. Samples from 184 farms across seven provinces were analyzed using polymerase chain reaction (PCR).

While reference genomes and gut microbial gene catalogs have been helpful in understanding the composition of the donkey, there is still a significant gap in sequencing and understanding the functional aspects of donkey gut microbial genomes. In this study, we analyzed metagenomic sequencing data from 26 donkeys' gut samples and successfully assembled 844 microbial metagenome-assembled genomes (MAGs).

This study retrospectively analyzed the data from 58 patients with PTCL who were treated in the Department of Hematology at the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from January 2015 to July 2022. Chidamide was orally administered as a maintenance therapy after first-line or salvage treatment.

The clinical manifestations of FFI can exhibit substantial variations, making it crucial to rule out other conditions, such as autoimmune encephalitis and Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, during early diagnosis. In this study, we describe the case of a 58-year-old man who experienced persistent insomnia, autonomic symptoms, gait instability, and rapidly progressive dementia.

Methods: We used genome-wide association study datasets from the UK Biobank and Psychiatric Genomics Consortium to systematically investigate the causal relationship between PM and nine common psychiatric disorders using two-sample Mendelian randomization (TSMR) methods.
Electrochemical recovery of zero-valent sulfur (S) from thiourea (TU) wastewater offers a promising waste-to-value strategy that expects to promote the sulfur resource cycle in water treatment but still suffer from electrode poisoning and sulfur over-oxidation. Herein, we designed a metal-free CNT electrochemical membrane for selective oxidation of thiourea and recovery of S. We found that defect sites on the carbon nanotube surface enable direct electron transfer for thiourea oxidation and may form carbon-sulfur bridge bonds, thereby facilitating the generation of S and urea.

Methods: This randomized controlled study included 60 CSVD patients with dysphagia who received routine treatment. Participants were randomly divided into the intervention group (with IOE, n = 30) and the control group (with NGT, n = 30).
Prompt learning is a powerful technique that enables the transfer of Vision-Language Models (VLMs) like CLIP to downstream tasks. However, when the prompt-based methods are fine-tuned solely on base classes, they often struggle to generalize to novel classes lacking visual samples during training, especially in scenarios with limited training data. To address this challenge, we propose an innovative approach called Synth-CLIP that leverages synthetic data to enhance CLIP's generalization capability for base classes and the general capability for novel classes.

Introduction: This study aimed to investigate the association between trajectories of depressive symptoms and the subsequent risk of chronic kidney disease (CKD) by measuring depressive symptoms repeatedly in older adults with normal renal function.
Methods: A total of 9650 participants, comprising community-dwelling middle-aged and older adults from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study, were included. Depressive symptoms were assessed at three time points: Wave 1 (2011-2012), Wave 2 (2013-2014), and Wave 3 (2015-2016).

Developing high-performance and low-cost electrodes for hydrogen and oxygen evolution reactions (HER and OER, respectively) represents a pivotal challenge in the field of water electrolysis. Herein, W doped NiFe LDH nanosheets (NiFe-W/NF) were immobilized on nickel foam (NF) through one-step corrosion engineering, which induced the coexistence of α-Ni(OH) and β-Ni(OH). The doping of large atomic radius W influenced the growth of crystal planes of Ni(OH), promoting the formation of α-Ni(OH), which results in large layer spaces and neatly arranged nanosheets structure.

Background: Primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD) is a rare autosomal recessive disorder characterized by dysfunction of motile cilia. While approximately 50 genes have been identified, around 25% of PCD patients remain genetically unexplained; elucidating the pathogenicity of specific variants remains a challenge.
Methods: Whole exome sequencing (WES) and Sanger sequencing were conducted to identify potential pathogenic variants of PCD.
The knowledge of "clinical molecular biology testing technology" is complex, conceptual expressions are abstract and difficult to understand, and the student's interest in learning is low. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of a cyclic teaching method based on case analysis combined with an exploratory teaching method using mind mapping as an assignment. Students from the 2019 cohort of medical laboratory technology at Hunan University of Chinese Medicine served as the control group and received conventional lecture-based teaching methods.

We propose a deep learning-based algorithm (BBMIL) to predict classical biomarkers, immunotherapy-associated gene signatures, and prognosis-associated subtypes directly from hematoxylin and eosin stained histopathology images. BBMIL showed the best performance among comparative algorithms on the prediction of classical biomarkers, immunotherapy related gene signatures, and subtypes.

In this study, we conducted a comprehensive proteomic analysis across various organs in rodent and nonhuman primate models to investigate CHIKV's impact on organs beyond joints and muscles and to identify key host factors involved in its pathogenesis. Our findings reveal significant species-specific similarities and differences in immune responses and metabolic regulation, with proteins like Interferon-Stimulated Gene 15 (ISG15) and Retinoic Acid-Inducible Gene I (RIG-I) playing crucial roles in the anti-CHIKV defense.

Prior research indicated that aging could decrease the stemness capacity of BMSCs, thus we made a hypothesis that increasing old BMSCs (OBMSCs) stemness might improve the results of microfracture in the elderly. First, we investigated the correlation between microfracture outcomes and BMSCs stemness using clinical data and animal experiments.
