Wireless sensor networks often rely on battery power, which incurs high costs, considerable volume, and a limited lifespan. Additionally, the communication range of existing passive sensor tags remains short, which challenges their suitability for evolving Internet of Things (IoT) applications. This paper, therefore, presents a long-distance passive RFID sensing tag that integrates multi-source energy harvesting and reflection amplification.

Here we report a gene-delivery system consisting of a Sleeping Beauty (SB) transposase encoded into a messenger RNA delivered by an adeno-associated virus (AAV) encoding an SB transposon that includes the desired transgene, for mediating the permanent integration of the transgene. Compared with lentiviral vectors and with the electroporation of plasmids of transposon DNA or minicircle DNA, the gene-delivery system, which we named MAJESTIC (for 'mRNA AAV-SB joint engineering of stable therapeutic immune cells'), offers prolonged transgene expression, as well as higher transgene expression, therapeutic-cell yield and cell viability.

Herein we report photoswitchable reversible covalent conjugate addition-elimination reactions toward light-addressed modular covalent connection and disconnection. By coupling between photochromic dithienylethene switch and Michael acceptors, the reactivity of Michael reactions was tuned through closed-ring and open-ring forms of dithienylethene, allowing switching on and off dynamic exchange of a wide scope of thiol and amine nucleophiles.

Our study aimed to develop and validate an interpretable artificial intelligence-based invasion depth prediction system (AI-IDPS) for ESCC.
Methods: We reviewed the PubMed for eligible studies and collected potential visual feature indices associated with invasion depth.
Introduction: Although recent guidelines recommend endoscopic resection of rectal neuroendocrine tumors (NET) ≤10 mm, there is no consensus on which endoscopic modality should be performed. We aimed to compare the safety and efficacy of modified cap-assisted endoscopic mucosal resection (mEMR-C) and endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) methods for the treatment of rectal NET ≤10 mm.
Methods: A randomized noninferiority trial comparing mEMR-C and ESD was conducted.
Background: Cell-free DNA (cfDNA) is a noninvasive marker of cellular injury. Its significance in pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is unknown.
Methods: Plasma cfDNA was measured in 2 PAH cohorts (A, n=48; B, n=161) and controls (n=48).
A dipole wave is composed of head-to-tail connected electric dipoles in the form of sine function. Potential applications in information carrying, transporting, and processing are expected, and logic circuits based on nonlinear wave interaction are promising for dipole waves. Although similar spin waves are well known in ferromagnetic materials for their roles in some physical essence, electric dipole wave behavior and even its existence in ferroelectric materials are still elusive.

It is not clear whether liver immune tolerance mechanisms contribute to cancer outcomes. We report that liver metastases diminish immunotherapy efficacy systemically in patients and preclinical models.

However, qualitative radiologic MR imaging review has limited performance. This study aimed to compare different machine learning approaches to classify pediatric posterior fossa tumors on routine MR imaging.

Background: Warfarin is an effective treatment for thromboembolic disease but has a narrow therapeutic index; optimal anticoagulation dosage can differ tremendously among individuals. We aimed to evaluate whether genotype-guided warfarin dosing is superior to routine clinical dosing for the outcomes of interest in Chinese patients.
Methods: We conducted a multicenter, randomized, single-blind, parallel-controlled trial from September 2014 to April 2017 in 15 hospitals in China.
Doxophylline (DOXO) and theophylline are widely used as bronchodilators for treating asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and DOXO has a better safety profile than theophylline. How DOXO's metabolism and disposition affect its antiasthmatic efficacy and safety remains to be explored. In this study, the metabolites of DOXO were characterized.

Methods: A case-control study for p.R4810K involving 1,385 Chinese patients with MMD and 2,903 normal control participants was performed.
Objective: To examine the associations of individual insomnia symptoms with risks of incident cardio-cerebral vascular diseases (CVD) and possible moderating factors among Chinese adults.
Methods: The China Kadoorie Biobank is a prospective cohort study that recruited participants from 10 areas across China. Data from 487,200 adults 30 to 79 years of age who were free of stroke, coronary heart disease, and cancer at baseline were analyzed.

Yet, there have been far fewer reports of perovskite-based field-effect transistors. The lateral and interfacial transport requirements of transistors make them particularly vulnerable to surface contamination and defects rife in polycrystalline films and bulk single crystals.

Objective: The objective of this study was to specify the effect of EC YAP on angiogenesis and its underlying mechanisms.
Muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC) is an aggressive disease with limited therapeutic options. Although immunotherapies are approved for MIBC, the majority of patients fail to respond, suggesting existence of complementary immune evasion mechanisms. Here, we report that the PPARγ/RXRα pathway constitutes a tumor-intrinsic mechanism underlying immune evasion in MIBC.

We sought to characterize the molecular landscape of high-risk breast cancer patients enrolled onto an adjuvant chemotherapy study to understand how disease subsets and tumor immune status impact survival. DNA and RNA were extracted from 861 breast cancer samples from patients enrolled onto the United States Oncology trial 01062.
