Background: Conflicts of interest (COIs) of contributors to a guideline project and the funding of that project can influence the development of the guideline. Comprehensive reporting of information on COIs and funding is essential for the transparency and credibility of guidelines.

Objective: To develop an extension of the Reporting Items for practice Guidelines in HealThcare (RIGHT) statement for the reporting of COIs and funding in policy documents of guideline organizations and in guidelines: the RIGHT-COI&F checklist.

Association between pretreatment lymphocyte count and efficacy of immune-enhancing therapy in acute necrotising pancreatitis: a post-hoc analysis of the multicentre, randomised, placebo-controlled TRACE trial.

Background: Immune-enhancing thymosin alpha 1 (Tα1) therapy may reduce infected pancreatic necrosis (IPN) in acute necrotising pancreatitis (ANP). However, the efficacy might be impacted by lymphocyte count due to the pharmacological action of Tα1. In this analysis, we tested the hypothesis that pre-treatment absolute lymphocyte count (ALC) determines whether patients with ANP benefit from Tα1 therapy.

We hypothesized that priming ischemic limb tissue with E-selectin/adeno-associated virus (AAV) gene therapy, in a murine hindlimb ischemia and gangrene model, would increase therapeutic angiogenesis and improve gangrene.

Background: The role of uric acid (UA) in survival of patients with hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM) has not been fully evaluated. This study aimed to determine whether UA could be an independent risk factor of cardiac death in patients with HOCM.

Methods: A total of 317 patients with HOCM, who were receiving conservative treatment in Fuwai Hospital from October 2009 to December 2014, all of them completed UA evaluations, were analyzed.

Methods: The clinical data of 66 newly diagnosed IgG-type MM patients in our hospital from September 2012 to October 2018 were collected. These 66 patients were divided into group A (IgG≤64 g/L, n=41), and group B (IgG ＞64 g/L, n=25), then the MM patients in 2 groups were divided into 2 subgroups thalidomide (TM)-treated group (n=35) and bortezomib (BTZ)-treated group (n=25) according to therapeutic regimens.

Recently, fluorescent peptide-based chemosensors have been reported and used to detect series of metal ions in both aqueous solutions and living cells. In order to explore and indicate the structural regulations of "fluorophore-(His)-Pro-Gly-(His)-fluorophore (HL peptide sensor)", we predict the relationship between the number of histidine molecules and the coordination activity, as well as the preferred coordination site, through computational studies. L was modeled as showing the highest activity with the lowest calculated ΔE, and inner histidine residues bonding with the "Pro-Gly" core structure always provided essential coordination sites for zinc ions.

The roles of the interactions between nervous, endocrine, and immune systems have been well established in human health and diseases. At present, little is known about the cellular bases for neural-endocrine-immune networks in the gastrointestinal mucosa. In the current study, duodenum, jejunum, ileum, cecum, colon, and rectum autopsies from 15 rhesus macaques and endoscopic duodenal biopsies from 12 rhesus macaques were collected, and the spatial relationships between the endocrine cells and immune cells in the intestinal mucosa were examined by transmission electron microscopy.

[Isothermal studies on liquid-phase adsorption of bisphenol A and dibutyl phthalate by paper].

Adsorption behavior of bisphenol A (BPA) and dibutyl phthalate (DnBP) from aqueous solution onto newsprint was investigated through batch adsorption experiments. Adsorption isothermal data was interpreted by the Freundlich, Langmuir, Dubinin-Radushkevich (D-R), Flory-Huggins (F-H), BET and Temkin equations. In order to determine the best fit isotherm, three error analysis methods were used to evaluate the data: correlation coefficient (R2), residual root mean square error (RMSE) and chi-square test (chi2 test).

Mechanism of regulation of rabbit intestinal villus cell brush border membrane Na/H exchange by nitric oxide.

In the mammalian small intestine, coupled NaCl absorption occurs via the dual operation of Na/H and Cl/HCO(3) exchange on the villus cell brush border membrane (BBM). Although constitutive nitric oxide (cNO) has been demonstrated to alter gastrointestinal tract functions, how cNO may specifically alter these two transporters to regulate coupled NaCl absorption is unknown. In villus cells, inhibition of cNO synthase (cNOS) with l-N(G)-nitroarginine methylester (l-NAME) stimulated Na/H exchange whereas Cl/HCO(3) exchange was unaffected.

Oxidative DNA strand scission induced by a trinuclear copper(II) complex.

A novel trinuclear copper(II) complex, Cu3-L (L = N,N,N',N',N' ',N' '-hexakis(2-pyridyl)-1,3,5-tris(aminomethyl)benzene), exhibited efficient oxidative strand scission of plasmid DNA. The solution behavior of the complex has been studied by potentiometric titration, UV spectroscopy, and cyclic voltammetry. The data showed that there are three redox-active copper ions in the complex with three types of bound water.

Protective role of nitric oxide in a model of thrombotic microangiopathy in rats.

Anew model of thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA) was previously developed, and it was demonstrated that endothelial nitric oxide (NO) synthase (NOS) is upregulated in glomeruli in this model. It was hypothesized that the synthesis of NO, a potent vasodilator and platelet inhibitory factor, is induced as a defense mechanism. The goal of this study was to clarify the role of NO in this model.
