Background: Whether it is effective and safe to extend the time window of intravenous thrombolysis up to 24 hours after the last known well is unknown. We aimed to determine the efficacy and safety of tenecteplase in Chinese patients with acute ischemic stroke due to large/medium vessel occlusion within an extended time window.
Methods: Patients with ischemic stroke presenting 4.
Background: Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) has grown to become the dominant form of heart failure worldwide. However, no unequivocally effective treatment for HFpEF has been identified in clinical trials. In this study, we report that Astragaloside IV (AS-IV) can be used to treat HFpEF.

Methods: A total of 120 urine samples were collected and categorized into four groups (0 - < 100, 100-<500, 500-<1000, ≥1000 mg/L) based on total urinary protein concentration.
Alzheimer's Disease and Alzheimer's Disease-related dementias (AD/ADRD) pose major global healthcare challenges, with diabetes mellitus (DM) being a key risk factor. Both AD and DM-related ADRD are characterized by reduced cerebral blood flow, although the exact mechanisms remain unclear. We previously identified compromised cerebral hemodynamics as early signs in TgF344-AD and type 2 DM-ADRD (T2DN) rat models.

In this study, disulfide bridges were introduced through a combination of directed evolution and rational design to enhance GMAS stability. Among the variants that we generated, M12 exhibited a 1.

Objective: To assess the efficacy of acupuncture versus sham acupuncture on methadone dose reduction.
Design: Multicenter, 2-group, randomized, sham-controlled trial.
3-Methylthio-1-propanol (3-Met) is an important flavor compound in various alcoholic beverages such as and . To maintain the content of 3-Met in these alcoholic beverages, it is necessary to screen a micro-organism with high yield of 3-Met from the brewing environment. In this study, the ability of yeast strains from the brewing to produce 3-Met was analyzed, aiming to obtain yeast with high-yield 3-Met, and its fermentation conditions were optimized.

We previously found that activation of PXR significantly promotes liver enlargement through interaction with yes-associated protein (YAP). However, whether gut microbiota contributes to PXR-induced hepatomegaly and the involved mechanisms remain unclear.

ATF3 (activating transcription factor 3) has been increasingly recognized as a key regulator of cardiovascular diseases. However, the role of ATF3 in AAA development and progression remains elusive.

l-norleucine, an isomer of leucine, stimulates the anabolic process of insulin. However, it is not known if and how it improves insulin sensitivity and insulin resistance. This experiment describes the generation of an insulin resistance model using high glucose-induced cells and the administration of 1.

Y1402 showed a broad range of growth temperatures and pH, as well as the maximum tolerance to glucose, NaCl, nicotine, and 3-Met at 50% (/), 15% (/), 1.2 g/L, and 18 g/L, respectively.

Current dressings that promote chronic wound healing either require additional processes such as photothermal irradiation or leave behind gross amounts of undesirable residues. We report a dual-functionality hydrogel dressing with intrinsic antibiofilm and antioxidative properties that are synergistic and low-leaching.

Here, we present Decipher, a deep generative model that characterizes derailed cell-state trajectories. Decipher jointly models and visualizes gene expression and cell state from normal and perturbed single-cell RNA-seq data, revealing shared and disrupted dynamics.

However, relying solely on reference datasets to evaluate the accuracy of variant calling results is incomplete, as they are limited to benchmark regions. Therefore, it is important to develop DNA reference materials that enable the assessment of variant detection performance across the entire genome.

Herein, we assessed the potential role and therapeutic value of USP28 (ubiquitin-specific protease 28) on the metabolic vulnerability of diabetic cardiomyopathy.
Methods: The type 2 diabetes mouse model was established using db/db leptin receptor-deficient mice and high-fat diet/streptozotocin-induced mice.
Excessive Cd in rice grains produced with acidic paddy soil is receiving increasingly widespread attention because it endangers human health. Applying organic materials (OM) and lime (L) is a common technique used to reduce Cd concentration in grains (Cd). Nevertheless, the mechanism by which their simultaneous application affects the Cd phytoavailability in soilrice systems remains ambiguous.

Current antiviral therapies are not sufficient to prevent or treat these complications. Cyclophilin A (CypA) is a key factor that regulates the production of multiple cytokines and could be a potential therapeutic target for cytokine storms.

We aimed to characterize the association between PT and other procedure-related variables on clinical outcomes among patients with ABAO who underwent endovascular treatment (EVT).
Methods: Patients with ABAO who underwent EVT with a documented PT in the EVT for Acute Basilar Artery Occlusion (BASILAR) study from January 2014 to May 2019 among 47 comprehensive centers in China were included.
Background: The major obstacle for applications of human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs) is efficient and controlled lineage-specific differentiation. Hence, a deeper understanding of the initial populations of hiPSCs is required to instruct proficient lineage commitment.
Methods: hiPSCs were generated from somatic cells by transduction of 4 human transcription factors (OCT4, SOX2, KLF4, and C-MYC) using Sendai virus vectors.

Background: Multiple screw-in attempts under fluoroscopy are often needed to place the pacing lead tip near or at the left bundle branch (LBB). This study was conducted to evaluate the feasibility of implanting an LBB pacing lead in the proximal LBB (PLBB) guided by intracardiac echocardiography (ICE).
Methods: The distribution of the LBB was initially determined by ICE anatomic imaging and 3-dimensional electrical mapping of His and LBB potentials in 20 patients in the first parts of the study.
