Device based monitoring in digital care and its impact on hospital service use.

This systematic review examines four themes of device-based remote monitoring (DRM): technology, patient monitoring and support, integration of DRM into clinical care, and patient engagement, and their impact on hospital service use. We included randomized controlled trials (RCTs) until 2024 comparing hospital service use in DRM with usual care. Hospital service use decreased in DRM in 72% of the 116 included RCTs.

Common elements of evidence-based trauma therapy for children and adolescents.

Unlabelled: Numerous evidence-based trauma therapies for children and adolescents have been developed over several decades to minimize the negative outcomes of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). However, PTSD remains a complex construct and is associated with pervasive problems and high comorbidity. To gain more insight, much could be learnt from the similarities in trauma therapies.

Remote continuous monitoring with wireless wearable sensors in clinical practice, nurses perspectives on factors affecting implementation: a qualitative study.

Background: Continuous monitoring using wireless wearable sensors is a promising solution for use in clinical practice and in the home setting. It is important to involve nurses to ensure successful implementation. This paper aims to provide an overview of 1) factors affecting implementation of continuous monitoring using wireless wearable sensors by evaluating nurses' experiences with its use on the nursing ward, and 2) nurses' expectations for use in the home setting.
