Mercury (Hg) is a potent neurotoxicant and poses a risk to human health through the ingestion of Hg-contaminated fish. Mercury, especially in its organic form methylmercury (MeHg), biomagnifies up food chains such that even small aqueous concentrations of Hg can result in significant concentrations of total Hg in fish. Understanding the ecological and human health risks associated with Hg and MeHg exposure requires an understanding of the factors that affect its bioaccumulation in aquatic species.

This concerted endeavor led to the development of a risk communication campaign specifically tailored to address the perceptions and needs of the target audience, thereby contributing to the control and the long-term goal of mpox elimination. Various community engagement interventions were implemented, including the establishment of an informal civil society organizations' working group to provide feedback on the WHO mpox campaign, webinars targeting event organizers, and roundtable discussions with country-level responders.

Remediation rates of psychosocial stressors among patients with advanced HF and reconsideration for advanced therapies have not been well-described.
Methods And Results: We performed a retrospective, single-center study of 647 adults evaluated for heart transplant and ventricular assist device implantation between 2014 and 2020, of whom 89 (14%) were denied for psychosocial stressors, including caregiver, substance use, housing, financial, or mental health concerns.
