Polysaccharides, the most diverse forms of organic molecules in nature, exhibit a large number of different biological activities, such as immunomodulatory, radioprotective, antioxidant, regenerative, metabolic, signaling, antitumor, and anticoagulant. The reaction of cells to a polysaccharide is determined by its specific interaction with receptors present on the cell surface, the type of cells, and their condition. The effect of many polysaccharides depends non-linearly on their concentration.

Patients And Methods: Materials and methods: A total of 26 asymptomatic children from 20 days to six months of aged with IH of more than 5 cm² in the maxillofacial area were included in this study. A medical record of patients clinical examination, Holter monitoring, echocardiographic ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) were analysed.

Introduction: Mandibular fractures are one of the most frequent and complex types of traumatic injuries of the maxillofacial region in children. Given significant long-term sequelae of inappropriate healing, adequate diagnosis and choice of management, which takes into account the patient's age and fracture characteristics, are paramount.
Methods: The data for this study were obtained from the medical records of patients treated in the Department of Surgical Dentistry and Paediatric Maxillofacial Surgery of the Bogomolets National Medical University from 2014 to 2020.
The review considers the main molecular biological features of the COVID-19 causative agent, the SARS-CoV-2 virus: life cycle, viral cell penetration strategies, interactions of viral proteins with human proteins, cytopathic effects. We also analyze pathological conditions that occur both during the course of the COVID-19 disease and after virus elimination. A brief review of the biological activities of polysaccharides isolated from various sources is given, and possible molecular biological mechanisms of these activities are considered.

Background/aim: Epidemiology of the lower jaw fractures varies between populations. This study explores the epidemiology of the lower jaw fractures at the Department of Surgical Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery of Childhood, Bogomolets National Medical University.
Methods: This is a retrospective analysis of 210 case histories of children with traumatic fractures of the lower jaw, from the age of 6 months-18 years old, carried out at the Department of Surgical Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery of Childhood, Bogomolets National Medical University, from January 2014 to December 2018.
