Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) methylation (DNAm) clocks estimate biological age according to DNA methylation. This study investigated the associations between measures of physical function and physical performance and ten DNAm clocks in the oldest-old in Singapore. The SG90 cohort included a subset of community-dwelling oldest-old from the Singapore Chinese Health Study (SCHS) and Singapore Longitudinal Ageing Study (SLAS).

As people pay increasing attention to food taste, flavor, and nutritional balance, conducting a comprehensive and integrated evaluation of the role of fermentation technology in cereals has become a top priority. This article reviews relevant research conducted in recent years, summarizing the fermentation conditions of cereals and focusing on the effects of fermentation on the nutritional value and health benefits of cereals, including its impact on basic components such as starch and dietary fiber.

This study investigates the therapeutic potential of hyaluronic acid/proanthocyanidin (HA/PAC) nanoparticles in treating alkali-induced corneal burns. Alkali burns are common ocular emergencies that can lead to severe vision impairment if not promptly and properly treated. The low water solubility of proanthocyanidins (PACs), which are potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agents, limits their bioavailability and therapeutic efficacy.
