Purpose: To correct maternal breathing and fetal bulk motion during fetal 4D flow MRI.
Methods: A Doppler-ultrasound fetal cardiac-gated free-running 4D flow acquisition was corrected post hoc for maternal respiratory and fetal bulk motion in separate automated steps, with optional manual intervention to assess and limit fetal motion artifacts. Compressed-sensing reconstruction with a data outlier rejection algorithm was adapted from previous work.
Background: Patients with end-of-life care (EoLC) needs present to the emergency departments (ED) frequently and at times, it can be difficult to provide a high standard of care. Within the Irish setting, there is limited literature on the provision of EoLC in EDs and this study, therefore, aimed to evaluate the perceptions of emergency medicine (EM) clinicians regarding the provision of EoLC in EDs in Ireland.
Methods: The End-of-Life Care in Emergency Department Study was a cross-sectional electronic survey study of EM doctors working across 23 of the 29 EDs in the Ireland.
Background: Abortion is partially legal in 48 of 54 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA); however, abortion laws are generally weakly implemented, and evidence suggests that extending abortion rights does not necessarily improve abortion access.
Objective: Reflecting on the implementation challenges faced by the laws extending rights to abortion in SSA, and enriching this approach by considering complementary avenues to overcome barriers in access to abortion.
Argument: Reproductive justice is a theory that emphasizes the importance of contexts and different levels of societal forces in shaping reproductive freedom.
