[The effect of topology of quorum sensing-related genes in Pectobacterium atrosepticumon their expression].

In prokaryotic genomes, the neighboring genes are often located on the complementary DNA strands and adjoin each other by their 5'- or 3'-ends or even overlap by their open reading frames. It was suggested that such gene topology hasfunctional purpose providing the regulation of their expression. For those genes that overlap by their coding 3'-termini this assumption has not been confirmed experimentally.

Interfacing living unicellular algae cells with biocompatible polyelectrolyte-stabilised magnetic nanoparticles.

Green algae are a promising platform for the development of biosensors and bioelectronic devices. Here we report a reliable single-step technique for the functionalisation of living unicellular green algae Chlorella pyrenoidosa with biocompatible 15 nm superparamagnetic nanoparticles stabilised with poly(allylamine hydrochloride). The magnetised algae cells can be manipulated and immobilised using external permanent magnets.

Immunogenetic factors of predisposition to duodenal ulcer in Caucasian population of western Siberia.

A total of 47 Caucasian duodenal ulcer patients and 680 healthy persons were investigated for HLA antigens of classes I and II. HLA antigens of the A, B series were sought using the microlymphocytotoxicity test, and HLA-DRBI was analysed by polymerase chain reaction. The study found associations of duodenal ulcer with HLA-A10, -B41 and different combinations of these alleles, whereas HLA-A9 was found to be protective.

[Immunogenetic aspects of duodenal ulcer in Helicobacter pylori positive Europeans in Western Siberia].

Aim: To study HLA associations with HP-positive duodenal ulcer (DU).

Material And Methods: A total of 47 Europeoid DU and 680 healthy subjects were examined for class I and II HLA antigens. Typing of class I antigens was conducted in the microlymphocytotoxicity test, of class 2 antigens--by polymerase chain reaction.

[The Parity technique as an example of an analytical approach to designing computerized psychological tests].

The new computer technique "Paritet" for studying the function of attention and visual perception was developed by the author in 1995. This technique has been tested in the combined experiment "ECOPSI-95". The study results reveal the differences in the visual perception of symmetric and nonsymmetric images, combined and separate elements of the image.
