[The development of Altai psychiatric service (The 60-th anniversary of Psychiatry Department of the Altai State Medical University)].

The article describes a short history of psychiatry in Altai since 1941. Active efforts of local psychiatrists, in particular the leaders and staff of the psychiatry department of the Altai state medical university, have led to the great progress in this field.
