The study of halophytes as sources of phenolic compounds, as well as conditions that further enhance the accumulation of biologically active compounds in them, is of particular interest. In this paper, the effect of different salinity levels (25-500 mM in the form of NaCl) on the content of phenolic compounds and the antioxidant activity of two rare halophyte species (L.) Griseb.

Their resistance to salinization is due, among other things, to their high ability to detoxify free radicals, owing to the relatively high content of antioxidants. On the coast of the Baltic Sea and in the lagoons, there are several rare halophyte species included in the Red Book of the Kaliningrad Region (Russia) and the Baltic region, such as (L.

Their halotolerance was studied by means of inoculation of daily pure cultures of meat--peptone broth with 3, 7 and 10% of sodium chloride and incubation at 37°C. At that all studied microflora was found to have significant indices of halotolerance with a predominance of aquatic isolates.

Found that all the investigated microflora was established to have acquired multiple antibiotic resistance in dependence on the season of the year and the inhabited area. Minimal antibiotic resistance of Enterobacteriaceae was registered to Tobramycin and Chloramphenicol, the maximal resistance--to Benzylpenicillinum and Ampicillin.

It provides a detailed analysis of their seasonal trends and spatial distribution, markers of their pathogenicity, and antibiotic resistance.
