Resonant enhancement of the transversal Kerr effect in the InMnAs layers.

- The study explored the transversal Kerr effect (TKE) and permittivity in InMnAs layers, which were created using pulsed laser ablation of Mn and InAs on GaAs substrates.
- Results indicated that the optical properties and TKE were significantly influenced by the fabrication conditions, with the presence of MnAs inclusions detected in the layers, varying in size from 10-40 nm.
- Observations showed a pronounced resonant band in the TKE spectra at room temperature, attributed to surface plasmon excitation in the MnAs nanoclusters, supported by modeling that reinforced the plasmonic explanation for TKE enhancement in these nanocomposites.
