Medication Reconciliation (MedRec) is a proven method of optimizing pharmacotherapy and decreasing incidence of Adverse Drug Events (ADEs); however, consistent and correct execution is often a challenge in the setting of outpatient oncology. Ambulatory chemotherapy patients are particularly susceptible to polypharmacy and ADEs and their medication management is often complicated due to gaps in communication between an increased volume of non-co-located, multidisciplinary, healthcare providers. Acknowledging these challenges, Winchester District Memorial Hospital (WDMH) led an initiative to create an ambulatory chemotherapy MedRec process using behavioural change approaches.

Introduction: Neuroconstructivist theories of development highlight the potential effect one developmental domain may have on constraining or facilitating another. Empirical validation of this theory requires further testing in autism spectrum disorders (ASD), and may illuminate the complex interplay of developmental trajectories, particularly in the relationship between predictor and outcome variables. In ASD, language ability is an early predictor of important functional outcomes such as communication and socialization.

It has been proposed that females at risk for autism are protected in some way, so that only those with the greatest genetic liability are affected. Consequently, affected male siblings of females with autism should be more impaired than affected male siblings of male probands. One hundred and ninety-four (194) families with a single child with autism (simplex, SPX) and 154 families with more than one child with autism (multiplex, MPX) were examined on measures of severity, including non-verbal IQ.

Although this conceptualisation is well accepted in the field, the grouping of symptoms is based primarily on clinical judgment rather than on empirical evidence.
Methods: The objective of this study was to examine the factor structure of the RRBI domain of autism.
Arterial ischemic stroke is approximately four times more prevalent than sinovenous thrombosis and has been associated with a worse neurologic outcome than sinovenous thrombosis; however, no data are available comparing intellectual outcome after pediatric arterial ischemic stroke and sinovenous thrombosis. We report the short-term intellectual outcome (mean 5.8 months since stroke) in a sample of 72 children, 47 with arterial ischemic stroke, and 25 with sinovenous thrombosis.
