Article Synopsis
  • The study investigates CP symmetry violation in the decay of D^{+} particles into K^{-}K^{+}π^{+} using data from proton-proton collisions at a high energy of 13 TeV.
  • A unique model-independent method was employed to analyze the phase-space distributions of D^{+} and D^{-} particles, correcting for any instrumental biases using D_{s}^{+} decays.
  • The findings indicate no significant evidence of CP violation, with a p value of 8.1%, and measure specific CP asymmetry observables, marking this study as the most sensitive search of its kind in multibody decays.

The SIDDHARTA-2 collaboration has developed a novel X-ray detection system based on cadmium-zinc-telluride (CZT, CdZnTe), marking the first application of this technology at the DAΦNE electron-positron collider at INFN-LNF. This work aims to demonstrate the stability of the detectors' performance in terms of linearity and resolution over short and long periods, thereby establishing their suitability for precise spectroscopic measurements within a collider environment. A reference calibration spectrum is presented in association with findings from assessments of linearity and resolution stability.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the potential effects of administering mangaba powder on liver function and somatic, oxidative and lipid metabolism parameters in rats fed a high-fat diet. Prepared mangaba powder has important amounts of phenolic compounds, vitamin C, dietary fiber and oligosaccharides. A total of 32 adult Wistar rats were initially randomized into two groups for the biological assay: normal-fat (NF, n = 16) and high-fat (HF, n = 16) diets for 21 days.

Background: Idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) is defined as elevated intracranial pressure and consequent symptoms (mainly headache and visual deterioration) occurring in the absence of secondary causes. Surgical and interventional radiology procedures should be considered for refractory IIH and mainly include cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) diversion techniques, optic nerve sheath fenestration (ONSF), and venous sinus stenting (VSS). Our study aims to review the current literature on the application of these techniques in clinical practice.

Article Synopsis
  • A study was conducted on B^{+} decays to explore resonant structures using data from the LHCb experiment at various energy levels, totaling an integrated luminosity of 9 fb^{-1}.
  • The researchers performed a simultaneous amplitude fit on two decay channels, determining the C parities of resonances in the D^{*±}D^{∓} mass spectra.
  • Four new charmonium or charmoniumlike states were discovered, including η_{c}(3945) and h_{c}(4000), and the presence of T_{c[over ¯]s[over ¯]0}^{*}(2870)^{0} and T_{c[over ¯]s
