Background: Even after atrial fibrillation (AF) catheter ablation, many patients still experience relevant symptom burden. The objective of the MENTAL AF trial was to determine whether app-based mental training (MT) during the 3 months following pulmonary vein isolation reduces AF-related symptoms.
Methods And Results: Patients scheduled for pulmonary vein isolation were enrolled and randomized 1:1 to either app-based MT or usual care.

The prevention and treatment of mental disorders and chronic somatic diseases is a core challenge for health care systems of the 21th century. Mental- and behavioral health interventions provide the means for lowering the public health burden. However, structural deficits, reluctance to use existing services, perceived stigma and further personal and environmental reasons restrict the uptake of these evidence-based approaches.

The selective formation of linear, bis(coordinated) complexes was observed for a series of pyridine and quinoline derivatives. Only in the case of 4-cyanopyridine a one-dimensional coordination polymer was formed, in which the cyano group of the cyanopyridine ligand additionally binds to another Cu atom in a bridging manner, thus leading to a trigonal planar coordination environment.

In animal cells, microtubule nucleation at the spindle poles is facilitated by the pericentriolar material (PCM), which assembles around a pair of centrioles. Although centrioles are essential for PCM assembly, the proteins that anchor the PCM to the centrioles are less known.
