A novel multifamily treatment targeting symptoms related to Latinx caregiver deportation.

Objective: Latinx youth who have experienced caregiver deportation show higher rates of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and internalizing symptoms compared to Latinx youth who have not. Thus, there is a need for culturally and linguistically appropriate therapeutic approaches to address psychiatric needs related to caregiver deportation. Positive Adaptations for Trauma and Healing (PATH) is a manualized 10-week group therapy for Latinx youth and their caregivers that integrates trauma-informed interventions with positive psychology and resilience interventions.

[Healthcare, European Stability Mechanism and public funding following the Covid-19 pandemic].

The aim of this editorial is to illustrate the new public funding framework of the Italian National Health System following the Covid-19 pandemic. The document reviews the measures put in place by the Italian Government and European Institutions such as the European Commission (EC), the European Central Bank (ECB) and the European Stability Mechanism (ESM) to deal with this health crisis and subsequent severe economic recession, with particular reference to sources and uses of resources. The use of new budgetary financial spaces entails greater attention to the assessment of interventions and makes it necessary to keep expenditure under strict control.

[Central purchasing bodies and spending review in health sector].

The aim of this paper is to analyze the new model of centralization of purchases in Italy after the approval of the 2016 Stability Law, with particular reference to the health sector. In fact, the spending review process in Italy in the health sector has had a strong evolution with the 2016 Stability Law, which has introduced the obligation for the institutions of the National Health Service to obtain supplies, exclusively, from aggregators subjects, for certain product categories of the health sector. The legislature, over the years, was mainly characterized by measures to reduce the spending limits for purchases of goods and services or by resetting the fees, including the provision of an obligation for the renegotiation of health goods and services contracts, in order to ensure the effective implementation of the expenditure rationalization by aggregation of goods and services.

Association Between Inpatient Sleep Loss and Hyperglycemia of Hospitalization.

Objective: To determine whether inpatient sleep duration and efficiency are associated with a greater risk of hyperglycemia in hospitalized patients with and without diabetes.

Research Design And Methods: In this retrospective analysis of a prospective cohort study, medical inpatients ≥50 years of age were interviewed, and their charts were reviewed to obtain demographic data and diagnosis. Using World Health Organization criteria, patients were categorized as having normal blood glucose, impaired fasting blood glucose, or hyperglycemia based on morning glucose from the electronic health record.

Daytime Physical Activity and Sleep in Hospitalized Older Adults: Association with Demographic Characteristics and Disease Severity.

Objectives: To assess objectively measured daytime physical activity and sleep duration and efficiency in hospitalized older adults and explore associations with demographic characteristics and disease severity.

Design: Prospective cohort study.

Setting: University of Chicago Medical Center general medicine wards.
