Dissemination of Decision Aids about Hip and Knee Osteoarthritis to Spanish-Speaking Adults through Social Media.

Background: Older adults and Hispanic individuals are increasingly turning to social media platforms to access health-related information. The purpose of this project was to evaluate a social media campaign to disseminate information from decision aids (DAs) on hip and knee osteoarthritis to Spanish-speaking adults.

Methods: A social media marketing team helped create an 8-mo campaign posted across 3 social media platforms to promote visits to a Web site offering free multilingual DAs for treatment of hip or knee osteoarthritis.

No evidence for phenotypic condition-dependent ejaculate allocation in response to sperm competition in a seed beetle.

Sperm competition is known to favor the evolution of male traits that confer an advantage in gaining fertilizations when females mate multiply. Ejaculate production can be costly and the strategic allocation of sperm in relation to the sperm competition environment is a taxonomically widespread phenomenon. However, variation among males in their ability to adjust ejaculate allocation has rarely been explored.

Transcatheter Edge-to-Edge Repair of Common Atrioventricular Valve Regurgitation in the Setting of a Lateral Tunnel Fontan Circulation.

•Percutaneous repair of severely regurgitant atrioventricular valves in the setting of a Fontan circulation utilizing Tri-Clip, even in the setting of an atrioventricular septal defect, is feasible.•Percutaneous options hold promise as a low-risk repair strategy in this highly complex population, which generally has a high surgical risk.
