People living with dementia follow different healthcare trajectories based on the individual healthcare needs and external supports available to them. We explored healthcare trajectories involving home care and long-term care settings, associated factors and hospitalizations prior to transitioning to these settings. This study was part of a collaborative project between the Canadian Institute for Health Information and the Public Health Agency of Canada that supported the implementation of the national dementia strategy (PHAC 2019) through the Enhanced Dementia Surveillance Initiative (Government of Canada 2023).

Ongoing efforts across different institutions exist with the goal of reducing the rate of unintended extubations to keep a median rate of <2 events per 100 ventilator days as defined by the Vermont Oxford Network. Our objective was to reduce unintended extubations in the very low birthweight infant in a large delivery hospital to ≤2/100 ventilator days.

To present the challenges and feeding strategy successes implemented to counteract a decline in MOM at discharge after initiation of donor milk (DM) to avoid EFF in racially and ethnically diverse VLBW infants. Retrospective review of prospectively tracked inborn surviving VLBW infants and their mothers admitted to neonatal intensive care unit from 2010 to 2020 during three feeding strategy implementations baby friendly (BF), DM program, and MOM bundle.

It was important to determine whether having dependent school-age children (DSAC) aged 16 or under was associated with adverse psychological impacts amongst the Chinese residents living in the country.
Methods: In April 2020, 757 eligible participants were recruited through a snowball sampling to complete an online survey related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Because of the large number of infected individuals, an estimate of the future burdens of the long-term consequences of SARS-CoV-2 infection is needed. This systematic review examined associations between SARS-CoV-2 infection and incidence of categories of and selected chronic conditions, by age and severity of infection (inpatient vs. outpatient/mixed care).
