Lipomatous ganglioneuroma's are exceedingly rare benign tumours. They originate from the neuroepithelium along the sympathetic ganglia. These rare tumours have been reported generally in the posterior mediastinum and retroperitoneum.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFObjective: To determine circulating endothelial progenitor cells (EPC) counts and levels of inflammatory markers in individuals with and without type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) in response to an intense aerobic exercise session.
Subjects And Methods: In total, 15 adult men with T1DM and 15 healthy individuals underwent a 30-minute aerobic exercise session on a cycle ergometer at 60% of the peak heart rate. The EPC count (CD45/CD34/KDR), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) and interleukin 6 (IL-6) levels were measured before and 60 minutes after the session.
This study evaluates contamination and potential ecological risk in Ilha Grande Bay (BIG) in southeastern Brazil. To achieve these objectives, we analyzed physicochemical, sediment textural, and geochemical data from 134 stations distributed throughout the bay. The results reveal significant environmental degradation in the coastal areas of Paraty, Saco do Mamanguá, Angra dos Reis City, and Abraão Cove (at Ilha Grande island).

Therefore, to better understand the effects of UV radiation doses on the removal of all resistance elements (antibiotics, antibiotic-resistant bacteria, and antibiotic resistance genes), the present study was designed using a pilot-scale photoreactor.

Hybrid quantum-classical computing algorithms offer significant potential for accelerating the calculation of the electronic structure of strongly correlated molecules. In this work, we present the first quantum simulation of conical intersections (CIs) in a biomolecule, cytosine, using a superconducting quantum computer. We apply the contracted quantum eigensolver (CQE)─with comparisons to conventional variational quantum deflation (VQD)─to compute the near-degenerate ground and excited states associated with the conical intersection, a key feature governing the photostability of DNA and RNA.
