Background: Our aim was to characterize the clinical presentation and outcome in adults with tick-borne encephalitis (TBE) and to determine the incidence and test activity of TBE in Denmark.
Methods: A nationwide prospective cohort study of all adults hospitalized with TBE at departments of infectious diseases in Denmark from 2015 to 2023. An age- and sex-matched cohort of herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) encephalitis patients was included to compare outcome.
Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has been on a downward trend since May, 2022, but it continues to cause substantial numbers of hospital admissions and deaths. We describe this burden in the 2 years since May, 2022, and compare it with the burden of influenza in Denmark.
Methods: This observational cohort study included residents in Denmark from May 16, 2022, to June 7, 2024.
We report a case of Zika virus (ZIKV) infection in a pregnant woman from Denmark who traveled to Thailand during her first trimester. Late in the second trimester, severe microcephaly was diagnosed in the fetus, and ZIKV infection was confirmed. Travelers and clinicians should be aware of ongoing ZIKV risk in Thailand.

Background: Genomic medicine has transformed clinical genetics by utilizing high-throughput sequencing technologies to analyze genetic variants associated with diseases. Accurate variant classification is crucial for diagnosis and treatment decisions, and various tools and software such as the Ion Reporter Software and the Illumina Nirvana Software often used in a clinical setting utilize information from the ClinVar database/archive to aid in variant interpretation. However, these existing annotation tools may lack access to the latest ClinVar data, necessitating manual variant inspection.

Here we present data obtained with two different methods for genomic instability testing: the Oncomine™ Comprehensive Assay Plus (OCA Plus) NGS panel and the OncoScan CNV assay.
Methods: The retrospective analytical study included 80 ovarian cancer samples of patients previously referred to clinical Myriad testing (reference cohort), and 50 ovarian cancer samples from patients collected as part of the Pelvic Mass study.
