It was shown that intake of carnosine in a dose of 50-100 mg/kg of body weight before X-ray irradiation resulted in an increase of the survival of experimental mice. The protective effect of carnosine was manifested, when it was injected either before or after irradiation, but the effect was more pronounced in the case of shortening time between irradiation and injection. An enhancement of colony forming index of bound cells in spleen was also observed simultaneously with protective action of carnosine.

The effect of osmotic shock on human lymphocytes receptors is investigated. The patients are shown to be varied in terms of osmotic stability of lymphocytes, although under osmotic shock the decrease of cell share with definite immunological markers is observed in all cases. It is characteristic of all T-lymphocyte populations.

An efficient method for the treatment of drug allergy was proposed and practically implemented. The method consists in autologous venous blood being lyzed with sterile bidistilled water at a ratio of 5:1 and injected subcutaneously and partially intradermally into the reflexogenic zones of the back 2-3 cm from the spinal column. During the first week of treatment, increasing doses were injected (3 to 10 ml), whereas during the second week the doses decreased from 10 to 3 ml.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA study of immunomodulating action of mouse alpha/beta interferon (IFN) was performed in conditions of congenital and experimental thymus-dependent immune deficiency. The action of IFN was assessed in vivo, with IFN injected intraperitoneally. It was shown that IFN did not change killer effect of lymphocytes in the reaction of stem cell inactivation in "nude" mice, but enhanced antibody and rosette formation in the spleen of these animals.
