[Characteristics of perioperative period in Xenon-based combined general anaesthesia in neurosurgery].

Neuroprotection could be the aim to use Xenon for general anesthesia. However the experience of Xenon anesthesia in neurosurgery is quite limited. The appraisal of Xenon based anesthesia was accomplished in 12 patients during various brain surgery.

[Prevention of infectious complications in patients with acute bone marrow depression].

Clinical efficacy of intravenous gentamicin in combination with oral use of gentamicin, ristomycin and nystatin was studied in 1977. In 1980-1984 two antiinfectious regimens were tested: intravenous administration of gentamicin in combination with total decontamination (oral use of gentamicin and nystatin) and selective decontamination (biseptol with nystatin of amphoglucamine). It was shown that the incidence of severe infections in the patients under the observation dropped against the controls.

[A method of calculating the liposome membrane permeability using dialysis method].

A correct mode of calculating liposome membrane permeability determined with dialysis is proposed. The liposome membrane permeability is calculated with regard for the ion passage through two diffusion barriers: liposomal membrane and cellophane membrane. The asymmetrical ion distribution under equilibrium conditions is shown.
