Purpose: The objective of this study was to examine the effect of the off axis retinoscopy on objective central refractive measurement in adult clinical practice.
Methods: In all, 40 subjects underwent undilated retinoscopy in a randomly selected eye both on and off the visual axis by a single masked examiner. Off axis retinoscopy was defined as retinoscopy performed with the testing eye of the examiner aligned with the contralateral (non-test) eye of the subject resulting in an off axis deviation in the nasal horizontal visual field.
Background: We evaluate the Visian Implantable Collamer Lens (Staar, Monrovia, CA, USA) phakic intraocular lens for treating post-keratoplasty anisometropia.
Methods: Case series of three eyes (2 phakic and 1 pseudophakic).
Results: The mean age was 47.
Introduction: Cyclic strabismus is a rare disorder in which manifest strabismus and controlled latent deviation (heterophoria) alternates on a regular pattern which is usually over a 48-hr period. During the "straight" period the patient has a fully controlled heterophoria for all distances, with very good fusion and stereopsis. During the "squinting" period the patient has a constant manifest strabismus for all distances, with no demonstrable fusion and stereopsis.

Methods: Patients who had undergone orbital implant surgery during the period 1993 to 1997 by a single surgeon were identified. Twenty-six patients had an HA implant and twenty-six had received a PP implant.
