Background: Prostaglandin E1 (PGE1), or alprostadil, is a potent vasodilator that improves hepatic blood flow and reduces ischemia-reperfusion injury post-liver transplantation (LT). However, the benefits of PGE1 on renal function after LT have not yet been well described.
Aim: To assess the impact of PGE1 administration on renal function in patients who underwent liver or liver-kidney transplant.
Metal films and other metal geometries of nanoscale thickness deposited on an insulating substrate, when exposed to laser irradiation, melt and evolve as fluids as long as their temperature is sufficiently high. This evolution often leads to pattern formation, which may be influenced strongly by material parameters that are temperature dependent. In addition, the laser heat absorption itself depends on the time-dependent metal thickness.

We surveyed registered dietitians and gastroenterologists regarding the current participation of gastroenterologists in CF centers and identified possible areas to enhance partnership between the two disciplines.
Methods: An anonymous online survey was distributed targeting registered dietitians and gastroenterologists involved in CF care through three international listservs (CF Nutrition, CF DIGEST, and PEDGI) over a 6-week period.
Advances in treatment for cystic fibrosis (CF), including cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductor regulator (CFTR) modulators, have ushered in an era where patients with CF have much longer life expectancies. This shift in life expectancy demands increased attention to diseases of aging in patients with CF. A notable complication of CF is early-onset colorectal cancer (CRC), which is especially prevalent in patients with severe mutations and after transplant.
