Palin Stuttering Therapy for School aged Children and usual treatment: A randomised controlled trial feasibility study.

Background: Despite a clear need for and evidence-based therapy for some children who stutter aged 8-14, there is no high-level evidence of effectiveness, with Speech and Language Therapists rating knowledge and confidence low. One programme which might address these needs, increase availability of services and improve outcomes, is Palin Stammering Therapy for School aged Children (Palin STSC(8-14)).

Aim: To investigate the feasibility of conducting a definitive randomised controlled trial comparing Palin STSC(8-14) with usual treatment.

Background: The impact of having a disabled brother or sister on siblings' psychological well-being and sibling relationships has been the subject of several research studies. However, research which focuses on the relationship between siblings and their autistic brother or sister with an intellectual disability and complex care needs is rare. We explored siblings' views and experiences of their sibling relationship with their autistic brother or sister with complex care needs.

A systematic mapping review of clinical guidelines for the management of fatigue in long-term physical health conditions.

Purpose: Despite a high prevalence of fatigue and its importance to patients, many people with long-term conditions do not receive fatigue management as part of their treatment. The impact of chemotherapy on cognitive performance post-surgery in patients with colorectal cancer: A prospective cohort study.

Objectives: Subjective reports of cognitive impairment following chemotherapy are frequent in cancer patients. Objective cognitive impairment has been observed in cancer patients regardless of treatment regimen suggesting the relationship between cognitive impairment and chemotherapy is not clear cut. Little research has explored the effects of chemotherapy on cognition following surgery in colorectal cancer (CRC).

Short Report: Outcomes for siblings associated with sub-groups of autistic children with intellectual disability identified by latent profile analysis.

Background: Recent research suggests that having a brother or sister with autism may contribute to increased positive or negative emotional or psychological impact on siblings.

Aims: To use a novel multidimensional data analysis method to further understand outcomes for siblings of autistic children.

Methods And Procedures: 318 siblings of children with a recorded autism diagnosis and an intellectual disability were included for latent profile analysis.
